a good portion of forum members no doubt are offended by such comments.
I'm a newbie/lurker, but I'm with the Fionn on this one. I am offended. Take your own fears about your latent tendencies and peddle them around some other board. And, I think, there's bound to be some future thread with 'Fionn Fionnworthy's: You know you're a Grognard when...'

This thread has involved some of the most erudite discussion I have ever come across on a message board, and with cap doffed, I paraphrase the great Winston Churchill:

Just repaying a bit of a debt here, and to let folk know what a fine group of individuals run this Company/Website. I let Battlefront know that I was having incredible difficulties downloading the Gold Demo (at 31 megs, 2 hours uninterrupted download, thank you very much.). The fault wasn't their site, of course, it was my (expletive deleted) service provider (a major player, with millions of members who they don't give a rat's a** about, and who use a three letter abbreviation as their designation). And BST/Battlefront.Com emailed me back to say that I was the only person who'd had problems downloading the Demo, but rather than tell me to 'Sod Off' (which is what I would have told me, given the circumstances), they broke the download into do-able chunks, which is why I am playing it now. I'm honoured to buy this game, even though they didn't need to do anything for me, because after I downloaded the beta Demo and played it for 2 days, I pre-ordered the game. This is the game that I and my friends used to sit and daydream about in High School while we were feverishly playing the original Avalon Hill and SPI (Simulation Publications, Inc.) board games.
