My wife, a recovering Catholic, saw me set the church in Chance Encounter ablaze with tank fire and was mildly scandalized. I explained that I would have gladly left holy ground untouched, but that the germans had a machine gun in the damn place. - Terence

  2. But then you realise that those big ass tanks can be run around easily and taken out by a stuart (apparently). Then you become dissilusioned, and see the light. And you are now happy with a stug or Mk IV.

    Woo hoo!

  3. If they are routed then they run away to safety, or off the map. I don't think what you described was strange. But I could be horribly wrong.

  4. I have made a few scenarios that I would like a second opinion on.

I have three that are finished.

The first is a small battle over a research facility at the end of the war. Difficult for the Allies. But supposed to be fun.

Another is a large battle through a town then over a canal. Set in France. It is meant to be difficult to progress through the town due to several obstacles.

The largest is huge hilly landscape and is supposed to be very difficult for both sides. It is the SS against the Americans.

    It's BIG.

If anyone is interested then you could e-mail me or post here.

    Thanks for any help

  5. I just finished a scenario. It depicts an Allied force attemting to capture a large-ish town. It is supposed to be quite chalenging when playing the Allies. If anyone would like to playtest it and get back to me I would be most gratefull.

    It is entirely fictional.

    Thanks for you help.

  6. I just finished a scenario. I don't know if it is any good. So I am wondering if some people wouldn't mind testing it for me and telling me what is wrong with it.

It is a big scenario with the allies attacking. I will e-mail it to any interested people.

    Thanks for you help.

  7. If any of my vehicles get bogged I stop them, then I put them into reverse for about 20 metres. Then go around the offending terrain.

    It doesn't always work.

  8. Excuse me Mr David Aitken, but I read your signature, then about 7 seconds later I burst out laughing. Does this mean I am a bit slow, or it is comic genious?

  9. Is it allowed to make a backup CD of Combat Mission incase of damage to the original.

I would like a backup just in case, but is it allowed?

I think I will unleash this beast on some unsuspecting person, and while they are marvelling at it's beuty they will surely get shot.

  11. I made some scenarios on my mac a few weeks ago. I now use a PC, and I wanted to transfer them over.

I got them onto my PC but when I click on them to play them the game immediately quits out and I cannot get to them.

I think it is because I made them just text files. Has anyone else had this problem. And can any one help me.

    Thanks.
