Oops I forgot the sound card info. It is the same as yours a Soundblaster Live with the very latest drivers and full acceleration enabled.

Has anyone discovered that with the ambient sounds enabled that the game pauses in both action and orders phase? I notice that there is a disk access of the hard drive that has my CMBO installed on it when the pause happens. The pause lasts for 1 to 2 seconds and then repeats in about 10 seconds after that. I am sure there is a repeated wave file access for the sounds but I was wondering if this could be fixed? For now though I am quite happy to shut off the ambient sounds. A very very small price to pay for such an excellent game. Oh and yes this happens with patch 1.01 with no MOD sounds loaded. I did a full install and have a PII 400 with 128mb RAM, a GeForce 256 32mb video card, Adaptec wide SCSI with Fujitsu drives.

I recieved my copy yesterday 6/22 and was totally surprised. I ordered this game 5 months back and forgot I ordered it and did not know when it was shipping What a very nice surprise indeed!!! I wanted to slip my wife a mickey so she would go to sleep so I could play it. <EG> I am in a near south suburb of Chicago and I am tired as hell but I can't stop playing. I may stop long enough to put a divorce lawyer on standby.

Panzer Elite? Well just another tank simm and it is really not even the best eye candy simm either which is why most ppl buy simms for. CM is unbelievable!! It is the most revolutionary and new concept in gaming I have ever seen. And I have been computer gaming ever since my Apple II days in 1984 and board games all the way back to 1967.
