  1. I was just wondering if the graphics card has more to do with slow downs then anything else. I am running a overclocked celeron 566 at 700mhz with 192mb of RAM and Voodoo 3 2000 16mb graphics card. I get slow downs with 3000pt and above battles. 5000pt battle almost turns into a slide show. Im open for suggestions if I should go with faster graphics card or get rid of the Celeron and go with a 850mhz PIII. I cant go with anything above 850mhz for my motherboard.

  2. You can always get cable or DSL connection if its available where you are. If you dont have the broadband access in your area like me you might want to look into a Shotgun modem. Downside is you need 2 phone lines for it but I usually get 90k connect speed on average. Not as good as cable or DSL of course but it may be several years before either is available in many areas.

  3. I rather like the force feedback with the Ifeel mouse. Guess you either love it or hate it. Kind of like getting a hand massage. Mmmm.. that sounds a bit kinky doesnt it?

This mouse has built in force feedback, hehe. It vibrates in games when you shoot, its extremely irritating. I have turned the feedback feature off now, better off without it. The optical feature is great though.

  4. AA Guns can even turn the tide in your favor against heavy armor. I was playing a QB against the Germans and was using a 40mm AA gun against halftracks and infantry. A Panther just happened to get in my 40mm's LOS. The AA gun starting fireing away at him at a range of 800 meters. I must have had him hide quite well in the woods because the now buttoned up Panther couldnt find him. By the end of the turn I had imobilzed him and by the 3rd turn the crew bailed. I guess they were tired of all that banging on their hull. smile.gif

  5. Im in a PBEM right now where I bought 3 of the Lynx tanks. They were just tearing up my opponents infantry. One of them took out my opponents Hellcat with a frontal shot. I lost one outright on a dumb move by using him as a scout without infantry support. One zook and it was bye bye Lynx. They are great little tanks if used right. Just keep them away from the heavy armor unless you can get them around for a rear shot.

  6. Im rushing to the video store right now to rent it! Im sure I will learn much about tank tactics in it so I use what I learn in CM.

Tank Girl Is an excellent piece, I highly recommend it.

Truly some awful movies have been mentioned but how can you guys pick on stuff like Red Dawn when there are the made for tv afternoon special rescue the mia's type warfilms that just blow. And the low budget Rutger Whore stuff... (godawful)

My number one recomendation for worst war movie ever is THE PATRIOT. (or at least the most recently endured)

  7. You might just be lucky using the Firefly. I am in a PBEM game right now and had my Firefly set up just perfect for a 200 meter flank shot at a Panther. My crack Brit Firefly crew hit the Panther in the tracks imbolizeing it. The Panther was able to swing the turrent around, and take 2 shots at my Firefly blowing him to bits on the 2nd shot. The Firefly was still reloading during all of this! So much for a crack crew. BTW the Panther crew was veteren. Why does it take so damm long for a Firefly crew to reload when a Panther has time to take 2 shots?

  8. It will work fine on fog. I have the Voodoo3 2000 AGP. Just make sure you have the latest drivers. I was getting blocky smoke with mine until I upgraded the drivers. Made a world of difference.
