  1. Enough of this childish quibbling, I have a MUCH more important question. How is BTS, in all of its enlightened magnificence, going to deal with the highly controversial and incredibly to difficult to model (for us CM Geeks, anyway) PASSIONATE Sniper To Sniper SEX SCENES? We all know that snipers are a randy bunch, just look at the names some of them are given, Bob "the Nailer" Lee Swagger, and Carlos (Don Juanabe) Hathcock (no explanation needed). Also of some importance is the modelling of the hip grind, with variations for Great Russians and Peasants from the Urals. Also, Soviet-issue lipstick needs to be planted on all the female snipers.

  2. It's my opinion, that, where morals are concerned, it is LESS MORAL to REALISTICALLY simulate the Second World War than it is to HYPOTHETICALLY simulate a similar conflict.

    [DISCLAIMER]

Obviously, if I really thought it was immoral to simulate WW2, I wouldn't be here. I'm just making a point. Actually, I've never considered the morals of wargames, but now that I do, I see nothing wrong with them.

    [/DISCLAIMER]

To me, modelling and enjoying events that ACTUALLY happened (where people died and suffered) is a damn sight worse than enjoying what amounts to be the equivalent of Science Fiction.

Q: Did Americans and Germans kill each other and commit horrific atrocities?

    A: Yes.

Q: Did Germans and Russians kill each other and commit horrific atrocities?

    A: Yes.

Q: Did Americans and Russians kill each other and commit horrific atrocities?

    A: NO.

IMHO, it is more moral to simulate hypothetical wars than it is to simulate real ones.

Did something in this post piss you off? Before lighting up the flamethrower, please see the above disclaimer.

  3. The only interface mod I'd like to see, and this is very specific to MY needs (I think), would be to be able to toggle the "jump to unit" when you scroll through the list with + and -. The reason is that I use + and - during set up, and I normally find a good angle to work from, e.g., facing the front, and my units are normally behind, so whenever I select a new unit, the camera whips back to the map edge, instead of towards the enemy, where I always replace it.

WEEEEEEOOOOOOO. Sorry, sir. Run-On Sentence Police. You're under arrest for malicious running-on.

Anyway, that's what I would like. I know it won't happen JUST for me, so I'm not really counting on it or somefink.

    Bah. I'm tired.

  4. I've wished for this a few times, but I can't see it working. For example, you could PERFECTLY tailor your force for every map. "Okay, gotta remember to buy an 88 to plant on that hill, and get Hetzer to hold that clearing, and buy some BIG artillery to level that building, and. . ."

For me, part of the fun of CM is making whatever force I draw perform in any map. It would suck the fun right out of it for me if I had some weird, gamey, ahistorical force set up, and I couldn't avoid that, I don't think, because once I got a GLIMPSE of the map, I would already be figuring out the PERFECT force.

    Bah. I'm tired.
