    A question regarding tracking troops stats

    Hello everyone: I would liket hear how the rest of the you track your tropps during a battle?

    I have been going about the field (left to right) checking on their ammo, health, position etc.etc. but I find this to be very tedius. Any tips on a better system or format?

    As a suggestion to BTS, How about a hotkey that displays all your commanders. Then click on the commander to get the stats for his teams. What does the rest of the group think?

    A Retirement, an observation and a question.

    It is with great sadness that I announce my retirement from ever again playing the Close Combat series. CM has become the standard by which all future land war sims will have to follow. Are my eyes deceiving me or did I see infantry in close combat throwing grenades?? Charging Infantry into a building?? A building shattering into a billion pieces?? I love the camera shaking when explosions occur close by. I had to do a double take when I saw those. Question: is there a hot key that will allow me to jump from unit to unit? I don’t mean the hq unit where I can double click on it to get them all. Love the game. Many late nights coming. Wife hates the game. (thank god, otherwise she might want to play).

    One more thing to CoolJJ, great sounds.

    Great bunch of guys on this forum.

    Happy Birthday ARCHANGEL, I'm 49. Dam I miss those days. Playing board games. I remember when I went to my first con. of Orgins in Staten Island. Then the follwing year in Balt. where I first saw Squad Leader. I became hooked for life. The street fighting is what I love the most. I keep reviewing the CM avi. Can't wait for May and the sounds of incoming. This chat area is going to have a melt down from posts.

    Morning....I moved closer to the sand bags, using my binoculars I panned the horizon looking for the enemy. Sgt Rock and Sgt Fury had their men in a defensive position waiting for the enemy. Instead they saw a very large dust cloud. UPS trucks were leaving their headquarters to deliver Combat Mission for the fans who had pre-ordered. Shame on those that waited to order. OK Ok so I am showing my age a little bit. I used to read those guys when I was younger in the early 60’s. I still love those comics. Just killing time til CM ships.

    From the beginning

    From the beginning, in anticipation for hopefully an early May release, what will the game provide us with?

    1- Does the game come a battle generator that lets me pick my units? SS units etc.etc.

    2- Is wind factored into the game?

    3- In bad weather conditions will we be able to hear the wind blowing as the bombs are falling hahahaha ??

    4- Is it May yet?

    5- Will there be Multiplayer?

    6- Airplanes?

    7- Blood in the streets or countryside?

    8- In Multiplayer, can there be several players playing at once, say 2 on 2 etc.etc.

    9- Will there be snipers?
