Hi Fredrik ! I saw Combat Mission over at Chips&Bits Online (Online store for games, books, etc.) a while ago, but searching this week, no more offer was found there. The price of the offer I saw was about $43 and S&H was about $10 to germany (cheaper than ordering from the developer itself !?!?!?). What's the truth now ??? Only ordering from BTS or will there be some copies out in other online stores ? I guess, this only was an mistake offer by Chips&Bits and I'd wonder, if you really could buy it at softwareexpress ! But would be very interesting, if yes ! Soma.

Well said, Dar !!! But I've read in another thread, that CM is only sold online ! So these middleman has to knock on the doors of BTS and Battlefront.Com to get the copies, and he'd better have a VERY BIG bag with him Maybe the game could be packed so unsuspicious, that neither customs nor the taxman will guess, what's inside the package. And perhaps a little stamp on the outside will help the disguise: "Dear customs. This is really no computergame, even if it looks like. These are just some old socks and used underwear. Thank you !" Hi Mattias ! Don't get me wrong, but nobody questioned the price of CM. I said it before the price for the game itself is absolutly ok, but Europeans always have the struggle with shipping, handling, taxes, customs, etc. ! Good games are mostly made in USA (not ever, but mostly ), and so people in Europe have to pay these things mentioned above if they buy it online, or they have to wait for the game to hit the stores in their own countries. But even then the price will be higher than in the USA ! I mostly buy the original english version of a game, and the difference in price compared to the german version is sometimes 35% !!!! (Not cheaper, of course). Nobody says, CM is to expensive, but the costs to get such a juwel in europe are sometimes outstanding. Soma. [This message has been edited by Soma (edited 11-25-99).]

Hi Tim ! If ordering here at Battlefront.Com it would be $45 + $18 (for S&H) = $63 (that's what I found out). I don't know if there are any further charges for customs or anythingelse ! Normally I buy games which aren't available (or no longer available) in Germany at Chips&Bits Online, a nice online shop with a good choice of games ! But it looks like they have CM not in their catalogue yet. So we have to order it here and get it ASAP, or we wait and see, if CM will make it to the stores in Europe (and especially WHEN it will be there) !!! The price of the game itself is no problem, because BTS should be awarded for making such a great game ! But shipping, handling and customs are BIG problems. A possible solution is to invite the guys from BTS or Battlefront.com to come over to Europe to check out some interesting old weapons and vehicles, and then they can take a few copies of CM with them (about 5000) on their trip and sell them here Let's wait and see ! Hi there ! I know, this might be a little off topic, but I've read at the Wargamers Combat Mission page, that "International customers pay only $37". But here at the preordering page the price is $45. So what ? Is there a special offer for international orders or is the price the same for all offers (+ the poster for all) ? What about a very special offer for us germans ? Hey, we've lost the war, so reduce the prices But serious now. Is the wargamer wrong or what ? Please tell me, what I'll have to pay to get this brilliant game on my PC ! BTW, just bought Flight Commander 2 a month ago and I have to say that it's an old game, but nevertheless it makes more fun than playing C&C or something like that !!! Bye, Martin N.

I've played and still play a lot of WWII games (all from Talonsoft, all fom SSI and of course, all of your games), but this is the game, we all have waited for !! When I switch to the desktop and then try to go back to the game, the whole screen is screwed up with scattered grey windows tiles and parts of them. The computer hangs and all I can do is CTRL-ALT-DEL or power off ! I'm using Win 98 Second Edition, an ATI Rage 128 with the newest drivers and DirectX 6.1. I try to avoid updating to DirectX 7.0, because the whole Talonsoft games have problems with this ! (All of your games are on my HD, too !) Thanx for help, Soma.

Hi there ! As a new kid on the block of this great game I'd like to know, what the different yells, shouts, cries and sayings of the soldiers on the battlefield mean. Ok, a simple "MEDIC" cry is clear (even for me) But is there a short description of these different speech samples and their meanings or something like that ? Is there a meaning at all ? What is the meaning of live ? A very curious Soma
