  1. Guys, I just upgraded my video card in my computer and finally got the demo up and running? What on earth can I say? I wish I had done this weeks ago. This game is awesome. Fun and frustrating (read on below for my first scenario). I play a lot of wargames both on the computer (Close Combat and Steel Panthers and cardboard (TCS from the gamers, ASL, and Combat!) and enjoy those games very much. Even after reading about all that could be done with this game stll did not prepare me for what I saw. After I first turned it on and got to the game screen I just sat and stared at the screen for several minutes. I was impressed. I even called my bride upstairs and showed her the screen and "flew" over the battlefield and even she thought it was great. I played the Last Defense scenario as the Germans for my first play experience. I really need to "unlearn what I have learned." I got my but kicked badly. Taking the building on the German left was not much of a problem (even though I lost a halftrack to a mortar round of all things) but the real set back came when all three of my tanks were knocked out on the same turn by the unexpected arrival of 3 M-18 Hellcats. Needles to say this severly hampered my operations and after losing about half my force to those blasted tanks and a well placed 105mm? barrage I decided to save what was left of my men and throw in the towel. Woods, good cover against bullets but not against artillery. I am definitely playing this one again! Bring on the complete game. I'll be ready. Mike Stephan
