Got a needs to close message after my PBEM partner and I tried to continue a game with the new version. We're both updated. Is there a place I can send the file to? I'd hate to have to start over after so many turns.

I would think with two video cards like that having to tweak anything for peak performance is pretty much unnecessary. Maxing everything out in the game should be as good as it gets.

I've got an HP, and my computer came with an onboard Nvidia 6150LE card. It was no faster than the 5 year old computer I had before, so I put a 7300GT in there. Increased my graphics speed by a factor of five and I didn't need to change out the power supply. TOW runs very smoothly for me, but having a 5200+ AMD dual core also doesn't hurt.

I have a relatively new system, so maybe I've got all the up to date drivers for AMD except the optimizer. I just tried a battle and had no issues anywhere with both cores active. Maybe it's hit or miss for now until they track down why the game's a bit flaky.

Athkatla, can you run it using both cores now after you updated?

You might want to try getting rid of the dual-core optimizer. There have been complaints about it on the AMD forums concerning poor game performance and stutters. I've got an AMD dual-core system myself and no optimizer installed and I'm running the game fine.
