Michael Emrys
Started out pretty good, but then devolved into several minutes of just a shot of the driver's helmet taken from the side. Boring. Michael

Michael Emrys
Okay, back to the ahead view, which is better. Not many cars left on the track; sorry I missed the earlier portions. One thing puzzles me, Audi is a German make, so why are their cars painted in the national colors of Italy? Or has that tradition slipped by the wayside? As you can tell, it's been a while since I ardently followed international racing. I used to really like it that teams painted their cars in the colors of their nation. Michael Emrys
#9 has a dirty windscreen. That must be a bother for the driver. Michael
dieseltaylor
National colours long gone. Private teams mainly. The Peugeot has just taken a bird strike - I am following their feed as it is more entertaininmg - and they are about to take the 2nd Audi again. Race over as Peugeot engine goes pop.
Michael Emrys
I watched the Peugeot feed for a bit but it wasn't as interesting. At the time, it was mostly some kind of interview and in French. Good PR gimmick for Audi. Do they have plans for any of the other races? Nürburgring Nordschleife would be interesting. Michael
dieseltaylor
Ah the Nurburgring - the full course. Now thats a track to race around. I am awaiting GT5 for the PS3 where damage affects the cars. I watch some of the movies of people going around, and of course the new car testing there. I think a Radical still holds the record for a production car - admittedly low production numbers but it is street legal etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%BCrburgring_lap_times extraordinary acceleration - and it tops out at only 168mph [264kph]
Michael Emrys
extraordinary acceleration - and it tops out at only 168mph [264kph] Whew! That's so fast it's scary. And the deal about acceleration vs. top speed is all in the final drive ratios. Set those for lower top and you get faster acceleration. Just the thing for the Nürburgring. Rheims, on the other hand... Michael
