CMBO, I have RoadRunner high speed cable, connected to a router and hub with 3 computers on it. I have disabled my Firewall. CMBO says my IP is 192.168.1.100. I can play when other people host fine. Any solutions?

This issue is addressed in the CMBB manual. If you have the manual, turn to page 249 and look under section "Cable/DSL Router Configuration."

If you DON'T have CMBB, then here's what's going on (This is just what the manual says, I haven't tested it myself, yet.)

You are connected to the internet either through a Router (like Linksys) or you have set up a firewall on your computer. What you need to do is add port # 7023 to your router's forwarding table and then match it up to your computers internal IP address.

Q: How do I add port 7023 to a forwarding table?

A: You need to go to your router's control panel. This is usually done by opening a browser and typing in this IP address - 192.168.1.1 - in the "address" section of the browser window. If you're not sure what this is all about, its time to pick up the manual to your router.

Q: What's my internal IP address?

A: Go to Start Menu > Run > Type in "cmd"

This will bring up a DOS window. At the DOS window, type in "ipconfig" - this will display your internal IP address.
