franz
there seems to be lot of comment on the positioning of trench lines with TOW. People are complaining that in WW2, trenchlines would never be out in the middle of an open field. Is this acutally true ? - were trenchlines always positioned on the edges of forests or behind ridge lines etc. ?
chanss
Difficult to say, I have actually not seen that many pictures off ww2 trenchlines. WW1 pics of the same is more common though it seems. And those ww1 ones seems to have been put wherever the fighting grinded to a halt, including smack in the middle of open fields. I supose the same goes for WW2 trenches too. franz
OK I am happy with that. If WW2 trenches were smack out in the middle of a field then I guess TOW is historically accurate and bang on. That is a relief.
