CrazyCactus
Since two days I'm now the happy owner of a brand new copy of CM... Since I'm intending to use thought-through tactics for each game, I'm planning to have printed maps and put transparent plastic-sheets overlays on top of them, so's I can draw my positions, objectives etc. before starting with the setup and the actual battle. Now to the question: does anyone of you have an idea on how I could make easily printable maps from the scenario- or even from the quick battle maps? Thanks in advance for the help! jwxspoon
Sure, I have done that myself. What you want to do is take a screenshot first, by lining up the picture you want and then pressing alt-print screen. This will save the image on your clipboard. ESC out of combat mission and open a simple photo editor such as Microsoft Paint, click new file, and then cntrol-v to paste the saved screen image. What I do then is save the image as a jpeg file and reopen it with my photo editing software. I crop it to the size I wish, print it out and presto, I have a recon photo. jw
Cameroon
The procedure on a mac is similar to jwxspoon's suggestion. Just press Cmd-Shift-3. That saves a file on your hard drive called Picture # which you can of course print.
Olle Petersson
Just to add; If it's a battle that you design you can also take screenshots of the editor screen to get a cleaner image than the sattelite view of the actual battlefield. Cheers Olle
