ichadwick
Just some suggestions for future patches/CM games: enhance the interface. There should be a "back" button on several of the selection screens. I almost always choose the side first, then can't get back to set fog of war, computer AI, etc. without loading the scenario then quitting. Really annoying not being able to just hit "previous" and make my selections. The scenario selection screen could use scroll bars for easier display. It would be nice to be able to right click on a scenario and see a menu with description, delete, rename, etc. I sometimes put a map into the scenario folder by mistake, but can't delete it without leaving the game. There should be a back button to return to the scenario selection screen if you decide you don't like a game from the description. There should be an option on the splash screen to set graphics and audio options (including volume). I really don't want music or noise everytime I return to a splash screen, but can't seem to turn either the initial or splash screen sounds off. I'd like to see a hot key for "all graphics at max" to turn on weather, trees, etc. to their max setting. I can't seem to tell from the markers if I've exceeded the distance my units can move in a single turn. It would be nice to see a visual marker on the path to indicate how far they can travel in a turn. And here's a few for future manuals: start with the tutorial. Then put the rest of the material after that. Tutorials should always be at the front, never in the middle of a manual. Drop the grey wash outs on the pages (the German/Russian soldiers). Use them sparingly only on pages with minimal text, because they interfere with readability on pages with a lot of text. ichadwick
And another one: A hotkey that aims your view at any enemy unit you sight (or flag if none are sighted). Each successive key punch goes to the next in line (if more than one). Ian PS: Maybe the next/prev key should first select the HQ unit of the group, then the units in that group.
