Patch bmp Problem

Hi guys

I've noticed that the patch (UK version) has changed some of the bmps used. My problem is with the grey Sdkfz 250/1. Normally (pre-patch) the top was 13661.bmp, but now that particular bmp is a blue square with a number one. But that isn't the problem. The 250/1 doesn't actually display the blue sqyare, so it isn't using that bmpo anymore. It does display a grey-ish bmp, with a trace of the Romanian 'logo', so I'm sure it's using the wrong bmp, but I can't find it. any help?

Just had a closer look into it - it is a bug !

Here's an explanation:

The German SPW250/1 uses the BMPs from 13660 to 13679 while the Romanian PSW222 uses the BMPs from 13600 to 13619.

Normally the top texture for a specific vehicle is the second one of the set e.g. 13661 for the SPW 250/1 and 13601 for the PSW222.

In the case of the SPW250/1 there might have been a typo while programming as the SPW250/1 uses the BMP 13601 as the top texture. The Romanian PSW 222 also uses the BMP 13601 as it's top texture, so they effectively share that BMP.

BMP 13661 is a dummy texture (white 1 on a blue square) in v1.00 and v1.01.

In v1.00 the texture for BMP 13601 was the upper side of the SPW, so that only the PSW has a wrong texture.

The patch changed all textures for the Romanian PSW, giving them correct Romanian markings.

While the PSW is now modelled correctly, the SPW has a wrong top texture.

All you can do is to copy the pre-patch 13601 over the patched one. Or take the top texture from another SPW 250/x and copy it over 13601.

This will, however, produce a wrong textured PSW222.

Thanks for that mike. I'd actually just done the same test and came here to report my findings..looks like you beat me to it. Anyhoo, glad to see it's not just mine going wrong. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I needed to know because I'm winterising the Sdkfz 250/1 and it wasn't working properly. Seeing as I use the 250/1 more than I use the Romanian 222 I'll copy a 250 texture over 13601.bmp, and then wait patiently for a fix
