The hairest was Night! Only reason I beat the AI was because I designed the scenario. I thought it would be unplayable so I went with day time. Makes it fast and hairy. Schatten Posted August 15, 2000 Share Posted August 15, 2000 SS Peiper, thanks for the complement. Try playing the Germans at night...it sort of negates there height advantage..tough. I am currently doing another scenario called "Autobahn" a what if battle around the Ruhr in OCTOBER......October. Its about the old conflict of the "Single Thrust" vs the "Broad Advance" that Ike used after the fall of Paris. Anyway the battle is to take the hills and ridge around a fictional German town and cut the Autobahn. So far its just TOO LONG so I'm in the process of cutting down from 90 to 60 turns and speeding up the reinforcements. Its a much bigger map than Yeagers Farm (2000 X 2000 meters) with all types of terrain. Will be SS vs Am. approx. 2 battalions with about 2 companies of armor...rocks so far, whew the lead flies in this one. Should be ready for the public by next week. I Will post it on CM-HQ. If you want a beta of it just email me. Schatten Its a huge scenario and needs lots of ram at least 64 or more and at least a PIII or G4. Slow to load the map too. Its not for beginners.......they could get lost..hahahaha. As the man said lifes a bitch and then you die! Panzer Man Posted August 22, 2000 Share Posted August 22, 2000 Wonderful Scenario..Cuts to the chase..I wish you didnt have all my Shermans Brewed up at the start..Kinda spoiled the fun..But My arty spotter almost ruined the Germans day.Took out every AT Gun.I almost had em but I Just couldnt take out the second Panther..But it was damn challenging and fun.I cant see playing it again though cos I know what to do now..Unless I try night or snow. Lots of fun. Thanks for the feedback, do you think I should bring some more tanks (or existing ones) in as reinforcements rather than set up, then again nothing like getting the juices flowing as seeing your tanks flamed by the third or forth turn........hee hee.
