ActionMan
When fighting a battle against the AI, there is the option of the AI being free to place units. Does the AI do this in a random way or is does it use some intelligence?
Sgt AA
The AI always put trucks/jeeps at the end of the map, even if there is a gun towed. It puts the gun as far back as possible with as much LOS as possible. I think that the AI is pretty good with it's guns. (When creating a scenario it can be useful to do the free setup against the AI and then surrender, just to see where it placed the guns) It put it's tank together, in the open, at front (at least in OPs). It doesn't care about command lines and FOs will be found in the frontline. It really can't handle the fortifications. Barbed wire will always be put where your troops can get some cover, like a spot with scattered trees. And there is probably many more rules it follows ...
