uhu
I need information on the 5. SS Division 'Wiking', because in Hungary, there is only one book, which is terrible. On the net, with google, I also found about nothing useful. Please, if anybody has useful homepages, or other form of electronical information, write it here, or send it to me. Thanks, Uhu

The book Hell's Gate includes extensive coverage of Wiking during the Cherkassy Pocket battles.
uhu
Thanks, but on these sites are only minimal informations. I need more precise infos, where the division fought, and so on. From Cherkassy-Pocket, and from the hungarian fihting areas (Konrad-Operations), I have datas, but very few from the others. Any more help would be nice, Thanks, Uhu Originally posted by Sirocco: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=wiking+division http://www.wiking.org http://www.feldgrau.com/5ss.html Is there anything you're looking for in particular? MaxWunsche
http://www.wssob.com/ This is a good SS site but right now it's down for cleaning but hopefully it'll be back up soon. It shows alot about SS units and where they fought and when and where they finally surrendered!

Hope this is some help. That's interesting. The "Feldgrau" homepage states that "Wiking then fought to the West of Budapest in more defensive operations, moving into the area of Czechoslovakia, where the Division surrendered to the Soviets in May, 1945". The BA/MA official records give a slightly different version again. It says "Die Masse der Division kam bei der Kapitulation Mai 1945 bei Radstadt in amerikanische Gefangenschaft." Maybe it split in three and ran in all directions Cheerio Dandelion
