UK surrender?

In my last two demo games I occupied both London & Manchester in the same turn, the one that ends on May 2nd. Imagine my suprise when the UK didn't surrender?

Did they still have most of their fleet intact? It's all about inflicting enough casualties.

The first attempt they did, but onthe second attempt I had sunk at least three BB's, the CV was down to 4 and two other BB's were down to 1.

This is why I am gonna leave Merry Old England alone and go after Old Mother Russia et al.

I also have ahd little success with England first strategy.

Most success i have had is rapid low country -> France, then Baltic -> Russia massive push.

England has (unrealistically I grant you) never threatend to transport over some armies to challenge my 4 Corps on the western front (one corp in each of major western cities of Paris, Low Countries and the two german cities.

So anyhoo, I think Russia fist for me as well.

I have got them to surrender, just have to keep on hitting them! I think thay had one unit left in city up top, that was all. there fleet was in canada.

you can fake attack them just to get spain on your side.

I think tis better that you attack them instead of them attack you on mainland. If you take london then retreat back to mainland, and leave a garrison in london that should keep them off your back for awhile.

you can do this with out real loss of any units.

Of course on a 1vs1 all's UK has to do is put a unit on any invasion hex to prevent invasion.

I think also it has alot to do with there fleet?

I was able to catch a 6 factor battleship, and nock it down then thay surrendered!
