109 Gustav
Does the crew in a carrier gain any protection from being buttoned? They seem to shoot just as well, though of course they have trouble spotting targets. ------------------ Well my skiff's a twenty dollar boat, And I hope to God she stays afloat. But if somehow my skiff goes down, I'll freeze to death before I drown. And pray my body will be found, Alaska salmon fishing, boys, Alaska salmon fishing. -Commercial fishing in Kodiak, Alaska

Forever Babra
They are nigh impervious to small arms fire when buttoned. If they suffer a crew casualty while unbuttoned, they won't be able to fire again, so keeping them buttoned seems wise.
