Scott Adams
I have installed hi res grass mods on my system. I know they are different than the regular for I see the grid lines when I use the Hi res velvet grass with grid. I was expecting to see actual grass in closeups but it is still just painted ground. Is this correct? I have p3-800 with nVdia GeForce-II 64 meg card. DraGoon
Hi Scott Check out the grass comparisons here http://www.afv-uk.net/cmoutpost/Terrain/terrain.htm Yours should look like these, your machine specs are certainly capable of displaying hi-res grass. I'm afraid not, young grasshopper. CM does not model 3D ground elements other than walls, hedges, and boccage. Grass, wheat, bushes, and rock are all flat. This isn't the Delta Force series. Old Dog
Hi Scott, Various high-res grass sets show more or less color variation to suggest actual grass, but of course the BMP being mapped onto the ground remains flat, so you won't see anything sticking up. Some folks prefer a more uniform color (easier to play on) and some a "busier" look (more realistic); try out several to see what you like. - Old Dog
