Guest Martin Cracauer
What would be the CMBO "blast" value for 125kg TNT that come in a hull that is meant for artillery transport only, no shrapnel intended (8mm metal hull for shell 380mm diameter and 900mm long)? While we are at it, could someone point me to info which HE shells are filled with what and how much and how CMBO gets its blast value? This 125kg TNT thing is from the Sturmtiger. Everyone who remotely things the Sturmtiger is similar to the SP infantry guns (Brummbaer, Grille etc.), reconsider. More info on the shell, from the book from Panzer museum Munster (not Münster or Muenster, BTW, that is a different, bigger city in Germany, whereas the one without umlaut is the old military city): 38cm Paketen-Sprenggranate 4581: overall length 1489mm long, weigth complete 345 kg. 470mm of the length are the propellant hull, filled with 40kg rocket fuel, the rest is TNT carrier formed like an normal artillery shell. v0 = 250 m/s, maximum range 5600m. Ammo load of Turmtiger 14 shells.
