Sheesh, I usually end up with my Ami infantry having to do it the hard way.... since my Shermans usually live up to their nickname of "Ronson"... ------------------ unca pathy will show ya the path, if only he could find it himself! Maximus Posted June 11, 2000 Share Posted June 11, 2000 Well, maybe you shouldn't move your Shermans out in the open as much. As soon as I locate the 75mm-AT bunker, I try to keep my tanks out of its line of fire, or LOS to be more exact. Then all you have to worry about is the AT-minefields. I also like to lay down a smoke screen with my 81mm mortar spotter in front of the AT-bunker until I can get my tanks out of its LOS. ------------------ "The greatest risk...is not taking one." pathfinder Posted June 11, 2000 Author Share Posted June 11, 2000 good ideas.. used them actually, both smoke and he from 105 & 81 mortar to atke out or "blind" that bunker...... once I simply kept the armor back... just to see... Murx Posted June 11, 2000 Share Posted June 11, 2000 Good idea to keep the tanks off LOS, but the AI handles it quit good, he just moves several of his Sherman 75 in LOS at approx the same time and the the 75mm has no chance of killing more then 2 of them The first time I played the Amis in VoT (fixed setup, and I had played the Germans before) I laid a 105mm barrage on this bunker The third round a shell hit home and set the bunker on fire.
