Problems on Hosting a CPX

I figure I would ask here and see if I can get any answers :D

What are some of the thing's that a person who is going to host a multiplayer game be aware of?

What were some of the issues from the previous CPXs that a person needs to know so that it won't happen again?

Also I'm reading 15.4 Multiplayer Teams Network Game from the TacOps manuel.

It states "The practical limit for Internet play is around 10 players". Has the game been done with more then 10 players? And does that count the umpire as well?

I think there have been Internet games recently with 13 to 15 stations.

The 10 station recommendation for Internet games was written before I successfully added compressed data flows and before I added the code that now skips players with connections problems.

The record for a LAN based network game (of TacOpsCav) is between 40 and 50 computers.
