BILLD
I just got and loaded TACOPS4 demo. In the two non-tutorial demos I have a bunch of non-blue markers to place. What are they, mines?! target markers?! ??. Where is their unit description cobvered in the pdf files. Are there any other non-unit markers arund in the full version?
Brian Rock
I presume you're talking about the brown entrenchment markers. Tip: click on them and look in the black box along the bottom of the screen.
MajorH TacOps Developer
The gray markers in Gallagher 6 are artillery target registration points. They represent areas that your supporting artillery has already zeroed in on. Later in the game they will enable you to shift artillery fire to those points much faster and with much better initial accuracy. The brown markers in Frolik 2 are fortified positions or entrenchment markers. They make your units much more resistant to enemy fire. In order for a unit enter an entrenchment you have to give it a specific order to do so. Order the unit to move so that its center point is over the brown marker and then click once on the defilade button in the unit orders window. When a unit is over an entrenchment marker, the defilade order actually tells the unit to enter the entrenchment.
