Maximus
I have a SB Live! sound card. I have DX8.0 downloaded, but not installed. Now I know it is a good idea to reload your video and soundcard drivers after you upgrade DX versions. Which leads me to my question.... How would I go about reloading LiveWare??? Douglas Rudd
I'd wait till Creative comes out with drivers that are for DX8, just to be safe. Thats what I would do anyway. Doug
Maximus
I beg your pardon, but LiveWare is a totally different system. The drivers are constantly upgraded in which it reprograms the processor on the soundcard. In fact my little update icon is blinking right now. Guest Captitalistdoginchina
Hhhhm, i thought that the auto update took care of all that...so, does that mean we still have to visit the website and download drivers for DX8 ??? Guest Heinz 25th PzReg
Hi there Maximus I have the SBlive sound card myself, and I have also tried Dx8. First of all, you should turn off the Creative software that launches on startup. It just takes up valuable resources on your system. You should also disable the autoupdate thing, cause its damn irritating! Regarding Dx8, it worked good for me except in one game. Panzer Elite didnt work online anymore. So if you play PE online, dont upgrade to dx8 yet. If you do update to Dx8, you will not have to reinstall LiveWare. Hope this helps, Heinz
