Sten
Will the (strategical) AI use the time I spend thinking rethinking/refining his moves, or will it decide once and for all. I can see why it would need a minute or two to decide, but if I use 20min on one turn, will it put the extra time to good use? Guest Big Time Software
Don't know. Usually AI is not "slipstreaming" during a player's turn because it slows down UI responsiveness. In other words, you go to click on something and have to wait a 1/2 sec while the program stops doing AI work and starts doing UI stuff. So AI work is generally "crunched" all in one go when the player ends his turn. But since we haven't done the strategic AI yet, all options are still open. Sten
Maybe you could have it as an option? Some players might be willing to sacrifice some of the UI for a slightly better AI. Sten
Guest Big Time Software
We'll see. However, recursive AI logic is something that has to be programmed in. So it isn't as simple as writing a "normal" AI and offering an option to have it run for 10 minutes instead of 1. We either write it to work one way or the other. We shall see what happens...
