  1. Ok here is the scenario: These are some of my units with I believe to be chain of command.

    4Sqd A Team

    1st Platoon HQ

    F 2/401 GIR

    This s my mortar team.

    F Company HQ

    2/401/GIR

    1st Platoon HQ

    F Company HQ

    2/401GIR

So now, when I call up my Mortar team and F Company HQ to the Tree Line to try to drop some mortars it appears I have no LOS with F Company HQ giving orders. But, When I call up 1st Platoon HQ He can give the order but then so can the F Company HQ as long as the 1st Platoon HQ is there. I know this is probably simple but for the life of me I can not figure out how this works and for me to pull up the proper units to advance I would think is important for me to get. So if any of you kind souls can break it down for me in layman's terms I would be very grateful. Thank you...

P.S. FYI I am trying to drop 60mm Mortars which I believe can fire indirectly. I think ... lol

    The Noob :)

  2. In a folder is perfect. As you say just leave all your sounds in a folder marked 'sounds' in the Z folder.

You can easily add in or take out mods or whole a whole group of mods by simply having them in a sub-folder within the Z folder.

But the ones that I want to use have to go in directly under the z folder correct? As the ones in sounds subfolder will not work until I move them into the z folder?

  3. how they get loaded depends on the name of the folder. For example in my z folder I have a folder called sounds mods in it I have different sound mods. I put each into a folder and named them to load in the order I prefer.

So the answer is yes, it will load sub folders. You can organize them anyway you like so long as you track the load order.

So I have JorgeMC's sound mod. When it unzipped it unzipped a load of different sound files into my z folder. Could I make another folder within my z folder and name it sound mods and put all this unzipped files in there and it will still work? I was under the idea that the file had to be unzipped the way it was right into the z folder? PLease le me know. Thanks...

  4. Georgemc's latest sound mod is great, whenever an MG42 opens up I find myself hiding under my desk!

As for other must have mods I love Juju's most recent UI mod and, Aris terrain mods are great too! You have a lot to pick and choose from.

Which one of the arias terrain mod do i get 1 or 2 or do I get both? and where can I find juju most recent UI mod? I looked for it and couldn't come up with it.

  5. Antmf - where did you install your game? I installed mine to C:\Battlefront\Combat Mission Battle For Normandy

I don't like installing games to my User folder as the game defaults to. I wonder if that is the problem. I'm not installing to C:\Program Files, but to the root of C:\Battlefront.

I let it install in the default folder, and did not have any problems.

  6. I just got the full bundle installed also, finally. But, it says I don't have the Commonwealth module. The game never asked me to activate anything. It just loaded to the main menu, but I can't play the Commonwealth stuff. What did I do wrong?

Antmf - what one is the campaign tutorial? I see the Devon Basic Training and Task Force Raff are the two tutorials. Is there another campaign tutorial?

Task force Raff is the campaign tutorial. The other ones are just basic tutorials. I don't know what you did wrong but I installed it exactly as the directions stated and it worked fine. I go to battles and can play any of the CW or MG games. After you installed it where did you launch it from? I had like 3 different launch icons. Did you?

  7. Hey guys, I have a question. I thought I read somewhere that if mt HQ squad ( guy with flag over head) spots a target he can then radio that to a mortar team who can then fire upon the target. I am trying to do that and when I start to order the mission it states that I don't have LOS. Does the mortar team need los? What am I doing wrong?

Oh 1 more question. I know units when put up right to the edge of the bocade they can see through and spot units. I am trying that with scout vehicles and for some reason they don't spot anything. Is it only ground troops that can see through bocade when right up against it?
