  1. Hi guys

    I'm really enjoying the demo for this. Currently I have a i7 870, 8gb RAM and a R9 280x.

In an effort to increase FPS, I'm planning on switching from AMD to an Nvidia.

The R9 280x 3gb is a great card, but with the whole AMD Opengl mess I believe it's time to switch.

What is a good Nvidia equivalent to my current card? Is there any card you guys use that gives you good results? What I want to avoid is losing fps in other games, so really looking for a card which is the Nvidia equivalent of what I have now.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Mine still downloading, but saw this:

    Drivers + Support
    FRAME RATE TARGET CONTROL:

FRTC allows the user to set a maximum frame rate when playing an application in full screen exclusive mode. This feature provides the following benefits:

      • Reduced GPU power consumption
      • Reduced system heat
      • Lower fan speeds and less noise

This is what NVIDIA users use (I think) to limit to 30 fps for smoother gameplay.

I'll feedback when download done, and I can test.

  3. Thanks montanaza.. I appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, sorry about that.. both fantastic games... it'll be tough to choose.  I think I will be playing CMFB more than any of the other games.. it seems "more complete" and the forces seem "better balanced" to me than in any of the other games.  The German infantry now is deadly, can't take them on at a distance, be very wary of them in close action... the armor is much more on par... etc.

I'm not selling you one title over the other, because RT is also amazing, but I'm less of an East Front guy than many... I just thought you'd appreciate my thoughts on the matter.  ;)

    Definitely do.

Yesterday I downoaded the CMFI demo - I was originally set on getting that as my next one but I found the elevation and terrain variations to be MUCH more work than CMBN. BN is more flat, whereas CMFI elevation makes for a more attention-requiring experience. Perhaps I will enjoy the challenge with more experience, but for now RT or FB *look* more like what I could manage.
