  1. Ok the scenario is now being moved over to playtest section as we are ready to start accepting requests. At present it is H2H only so I need 2 folk at a time to play against each other. In the coming days I will work on the AI plans and advise when single player playtesting is required. Ok so whos interested....

Also bear in mind when you join up at FGM you need to make a post within 7 days or the software deletes your account as a spammer...... then a post every 90 days is required to keep your account current. A lot of folk sogned up last week didnt post and have since been removed.

Designed by me (Bootie) this is an infantry battle in the foothills of Afghanistan in 1980. It should be a test for both sides and hopefully challenging enough. If you do happen to play this please do leave feedback as it is only v1.0 although so far balance etc seems fine.

    Some comments so far...

Lt. and myself are still at it so don't want to give too much away. I will say I like the map, plenty of elbow room and options to get it right or wrong! Apart from the casualties inflicted on me I'm enjoying it.

I'm right there with you. I've had fun with this scenario. Good map. From my side, the force composition seems fair: I've suffered from my mistakes and my opponents smart moves, which is how a good scenario should be.
I have less hair as a direct result of this battle. I would suggest a health warning in the Designer Notes.

  7. Each battle is built on a map roughly matching the terrain, ammo levels, morale, headcount, unit condition are all factored in. The HQ areas have an up to date OOB for each chit. We are on D+2 and 47 battles have been fought. We also factor in Strategic and Tactical Air Strikes, Artillery and Naval Artillery. It is an awful lot of work... but it is so much fun. Especially listening to all the haggling between the commanders in their respective HQ areas as they decide upon their next move.

I will pop a post up and see if there is any interest for a scenario/map playtesting hosting site for CMx2.
