  1. while i am new to the series, i watched the previous AAR(and learn a lot) and i intend to watch this also. In the current scenario i think it fits greatly a warhammer 40k quote "walk softly and carry a big gun". Stay stealthy as possible with few AT guns.

Imho the attacker will expect lots of mines and fortifications and he will be extra carefull in his advance, so the best defence would be mobile with counter attacks if possible. Of course artillery/mortar/air fire would be extra helpfull since i doubt that the attacker will move with great pace.

But perhaps i am deeply wrong :P

  2. Thanks for the responces, while i am not new in wargames in general, i found the armchair general tactics very helpfull. I enjoy that the game rewards real life tactics and patience.

Anyway practice makes wonders so i ll begin with small encounters before moving to more chaotic ones.

ps. i really wish CMBN had a full battle replay just for checking the flow of the encounter and learning.

  3. Heya all, total new guy here that found his dream game(you know that hobbies that you say yourself one day, damn i will master it cause i freaking love it).

Few words, i got myself CMBN + CW bundle along with v2.0, as a good start, i got the awesome graphic and audio mods from the community after researching about the game(manual, forums), played the tutorial campaign along with 3-4 small scenarios to get a grip and now i need you help and advice guys.

Having in mind that eventually i ll play all campaigns and all scenarios(...in the years to come :P), my prefered armies and doctrines are axis although, where shall i head then for an easier learning curve?

Shall i do more randoms scenarios or try a campaign? What you would recommend guys to a green recruit?

(unfortunatelly i am limited vsAI, due to real life stuff)

Thanks in advance and cheers to BattleFront and to the community.

    Best regards from Greece!
