I understand, I don't think there is anything wrong with a supply/demand model. All I am saying is that it is beyond what I am prepared to pay, I'll wait to see if the price drops to my line-in-the-sand eventuallyas almost all other companies, they take what they can, if they know people will pay it. -
I can understand the cost of shipping this to Europe with all the additional costs, but I am really hard pressed to fork over $60 for digital download (or even $55 for that matter).
It's more of a stand I have against game manufacturers pushing the $49.99 boundary ever since consoles came about, and has nothing to do with Battlefront at all, but $60 before S&H, no thanks.

That's the problem. In my area I've never even seen/found one. 28" is the best local shops can do, but those 2" just isn't enough to warrant an upgrade for my 26" Samsung.
Very few shops carry stock of 30", they are usually IPS panels, and very expensive compared to the 'mainstream' 24" TN panels (1920x1080 or 1920x1200) - think $1,500+ USD. They are available on dell / HP / samsung websites.
Also, about 5-7 years ago 27 - 30" monitors were more popular then they disappeared from supply for a while, I assume there just wasn't demand. The focus on the market seemed the 19-24" inch range (1080p), however they are starting to come back to popularity - I assume because now the machines can start pushing decent framerates at that resolution.

I was a big fan of CM:BB and CM:AK. I initially tried the CM:SF demo when it first came out, but I hated the engine, and couldn't get into the theater either. Haven't played a round of CM since, until now.
I assume the engine was refined, I wish I had tried again because whatever it is, it feels great in Normandy! I thrashed through 30 min of game time as quick as possible before I had to head out to work this morning. Was I surprised when my troops didn't stop running after the first 60 seconds! Had some minor issues with needing to learn the hotkeys; read the manual stuff, but this has me very excited.
Will probably pick away at the demo until the price comes down a little; I refuse to pay $60 for any PC game ever since consoles started the trend. Not that this isn't worth it, just a matter of principle
If you haven't played the Devilss Descent Campaign ... DO SO!

Had a lot of fun playing this campaign; my only criticism is that it was too easy. I think dropping the quality of the troops is a great idea, the current set up doesn't punish mistakes, so I got to rush the missions and I'm sure didn't appreciate all that was on offer.
Highly recommended as an "intro", looking forward to more!
