Well, I just bought it for my iPad3, not because I'll ever play it, but I wanted to support Battlefront for their continued development of CMBN and other excellent games.

The entertainment factor of their products for me over the years has been far more than what they charge for their individual products.

Is the gun "deployed"? Read page 87 in the manual.

Some weapons, such as, for example, medium machineguns, can be fired with- out first being deployed, but will suffer from decreased accuracy and a lower fire output.

Here's how to do it:

1. Shermans. Pretend they're lend-lease.

2. Light rockets. Lots and lots of them. And then some more.

3. Fire all the rockets immediately with maximum intensity.

4. Giggle as a school girl as a hail storm of rockets descend upon the Germans for several minutes.

5. Mop up any survivors with the tanks.

don't use the "Emergency" call if you want it to be anywhere near the place you ordered it to as that does away with ranging shots.

Yeah, after using that command I had to check the manual to be sure it didn't mean "fire everything you got on my position, we're being overrun". Because that's what it did. Exactly the pattern I wanted, but not in the place I wanted. :mad: :eek:

Good thing only the AI got to laugh.

This was confusing at first, and annoying later. But switching to the other hotkeys file made things much better.

I haven't played CM since 2006 (no Windows computer), but the key shortcuts are still in my fingers.

The issue - for a new player - is that it looks like a hedgerow the troops can pass. The "high bocage" is an obvious barrier.

But it's only a problem the first time you encounter it.

A bit confusing that the same key shortcut did different things depending on which menu you were in (movement, combat). But I haven't played CM since 2006 so I guess I have to re-learn. Or remap the keys.

Now I'm just waiting for the DL only option so I can buy the full game.

Looking at the other games in the store there are "DL only", "mail only" or "DL+mail" ordering options. I'm hoping there will be a DL only option for CMBN as well.

One thing that bugged me about CM1 QB maps was that the hills often were "bald". But looking at real terrain, hills are often wooded with farmland in the valleys.

Been using Mac (and being without CM) since 2006. And now it looks like a have to buy a new one, my iMac from 2006 only meets the minimum system requirements.
