  1. Re: Steve's no2 point. In this particular case I wouldn't mind to wait a few weeks for having the physical product. It actually happens with many other releases of all kind (major or not), 1st US, EU later. And not only in videogames, of course. Besides, I can download it and play if I don't want to wait. I'd get the cool box and the much awaited manual (I'll love it, I'm sure!) later. :)

This may not be the opinion of other European players, though. A poll would be in order for the future? ;)

I agree with this. There isn't much of a problem about waiting an extra week or so for the physical media since we can download the game and play it anyway. I guess this wouldn't be as acceptable to those with slow internet connections, but for most of us .... aren't we likely to download game when it is released. The tin and printed manual can come later.

  2. After seeing this thread, I thought I'd stop lurking and actually post, so here goes...

Yet another lurker ... I'm 59 and first played Avalon Hill's Gettysburg way back in the late sixties. Before that it was tabletops and airfix figures. (Any Brits remember Donald Featherstone?) Like many others I've been around Battlefront since CMBO but lost my original log in details. Tried CMSF demo, but can't get into modern warfare. Like many others, TOW doesn't really work for me - too frenetic.

I had hoped that CMBN or at least the demo might be out for the royal wedding/bank holiday weekend. Ah well .... back to reading the manual.
