Actually the Mission Pack will work according to the webpage. To my knowledge it should change the licensing of the game from Steam to eLicense (it also includes the 'uber patch').
The ModPack on the other hand I'm not sure of what its requirements are. I assume it MAY need the uber patch to work properly. Other than that it should work with any of the distributions.
Thanks for the help! Though that bit about changing the licensing sounds kinda scary, the reason I would buy this through Steam is to avoid the hassle with the e-license stuff. I assume that's some sort of limited activation DRM?

We put the game out on Steam just now, but the patch and packs you mentioned are 1-2 years old.
Asking the support desk will lead to the same response, as it is me responding there as well :-)
Oh okay sorry. Can you consider releasing the mission pack through Steam as an add-on DLC for Theatre of War, say for $5? Theatre of War 2 has its Centauro add-on available as DLC.

The game just came out on Steam yesterday for the first time so it shouldn't be an issue that you have to search your memory for . I'll go ask the support helpdesk.

Does anyone know if the Steam version of ToW is compatible with:
a) the uber patch
the mission pack
c) the massive Modpack
Thanks!

Thanks, that's great to hear that the mission pack may already be in the Steam version. I've already tried the demo, it works fine on my PC.
