Thanks chibot but it looks like another dead end. Tried "thefewgoodmen" site under CMRT and wasn't there. Maybe they renamed it.
-
Where is "where forefathers fought" scenario. I've looked high and low and this scenario and it's a ghost. Is it renamed something else?
-
Trying to locate the scenario "no exit" I have the latest patch for h2h but am unable to find this map. Any suggestions?

Anybody down for a game. I've got about 10 slots that just opened up and I can give you about 3-4 full turns a day maybe more depending on what time the wife gets home from work:).
Thanks

Almost done (both the game and me, that is). Curious if the Germans have won any....managed to get the better of the first exchange, when I catched some US soldiers crossing the road with my MG, after that my men mainly functioned as targets, never being able to see or hit the enemy.
I laughed at this quote,"my men mainly functioned as targets". Thats a sweet way to put it.

I like to load up an HE round in my 75, aim nice and close to the disobedient unit/s and fire. Whoever survived that round gets the message clear and simple. I have transformed many green and veteran soldiers into hardened crack units from that practice. Almost supermen on meth if you will. Hope this helps

Thanks Erwin, My girlfriend loved it.

Take a look what pops up in your 'Outgoing Mail' folder after you started a battle...
Thanks, just have to start a battle and were good to go:)

Thanks RC. Was trying to get a game going via email but don't have clue how or what to upload before I start.

Was wondering if anyone out there would like to play an entire h2h battle in one night? Also does anyone know if BF has anyhing in the works for a MP lobby?
I am on the west coast of Canada so if you are down for a match let me know pls.

I'm 51, and will be 52 later this week but I have no problems playing in RT. This seems to be an issue that some folks feel very passionately about. Playing in RT is not about reflexes or twitching. I only PAUSE the game when I receive reinforcements, am calling in an artilllery or air strike or when I have accomplished my mission on one side of the battlefield and move over to get a second group going. You can certainly abuse RT and pause the game every few seconds to micro-manage every detail but that's basically playing WEGO where you determine the length of the turn.
I would like to play WEGO but it just takes too damned long to play anything after you have grown accustomed to the pace of a RT mission. I can play an hour-long mission in less than an hour and a half in most cases. That's more fun than replaying for me at least.
Ditto I'm 45 and RT is the way to go. Who said RT was a clickfest obviously has not really played CM in RT.

It may be realistic that once any tank takes a few hits it's really out of action due to non-penetrative damage, but I'm finding it no fun whatsoever.
It's very hard to have an enthralling tank battle when its number of hits taken rather than armour strength and gun penetration that determines the outcome. My experience at the moment is that irrespective of the armour of a tank, if you let it get hit, at all, by another tank more than once or twice, it will take a critical hit on some subsystem, and then it's effectively out of action. There are so many opportunities: tracks, weapon control, optics...
As I say, this may be realistic, but right now it's taking some "getting used to" (a euphamism for "geez, this is no fun, I hope I get past it").

I wish I was still in contact with a gentleman by the name of "Sabot" I remember him telling me stories of million dollar equipment on his M1A1 tank being disabled by small arms fire and RPG's and the noise inside the hull being unbearable at times.

Though I agree fully with your statement, I do not agree that Pbem (turn based) is very realistic. IMHO to get the real feeling of mayhem and carnage, RT is the way to go. It would be nice if a battle in real life could be paused and we all took a smoke break and planned our next move like a chess match. I am 45 and love the option of pbem w/o a clickfest but for a true grog, (which I am not) I would have thought that RT would have been the preference.

BTW hello Reiryc, Its only been 8 years since we touched base. You still playing EYSA?
-
I got credited with being a beta tester (didnt actually sign an NDA) but did test numerous patches and maps for EYSA. I think EYSA took on a heavy load and did not quite live up to expectations as being a 3dcc type of game. I personally loved the game for MP only, that to me was where the game shined. I can't help but look back at "EYSA" and smile every time I fire up CMBN. I think EY would like this game.

I have a problem with this as well. Playing Barkmans corner just made me feel like Rambo. Every shot hit first time, every shot passed through numerous vehicles to penetrate the one directly behind it. It made the whole scenario seem unrealistic to me.
-
Ok Dl latest drivers like I should have done to begin with and I have no moe "exit" issues. Don't know if that helps anybody else out but it definately worked for me.
-
I too am having the same exit problem and I am running a 64bit OS Win7. Not a deal breaker after all it is just a demo that was free. Hopefully this little occurance is not part of the full version.
