I've tried to go through the SecuRom support process but it's like wading through mud, i'll persevere though!
I've also installed to another PC and the game is working fine there. The non-working system is XP64 and the working one is Vista64.
Totally at a loss here.
Does the game supplied by Battlefront also use SecuRom? Wondering if I could trade this heap of S**T in??

Update: After uninstalling and then re-installing and patching up version be version I have not been able to launch the game at any version. SO it's NOT the patch's fault.
This is weird. It was working fine, it is a legit copy and I don't have anything which Securom state as being 'bad'. I've sent one of their analysis files off to them.
I also can't see any scratches on the CD. The only other thing which has changed on my system are Windows Updates.
Any ideas?

As much effort as it may be, would it be possible to go back to 1.11 and see if the CD copy check still works and then re-apply the 1.20 patch to see if it does break ? This of course involves uninstalling CMSF completely to start from scratch.
You are applying the proper 1.20 patch for Paradox, correct ?
Do either of you have any modules installed ? If so, then the Paradox patch is no longer appropriate and your licensing converts to eLicense (and the CD is no longer required to play CMSF).
I'll try this just now - I have no modules installed. PAtch file downloaded is:
CMSF_v120_Paradox_Patch.exe

Hmm, thing is I'm getting this too after patching up to version 1.20.
Paradox retail disk which has been working at version 1.11 for some time now...
Defilen, are you only getting this after having patched too?

The possibility we are looking into is that the Nightstalker's battle has some sort of incompatibility/corruption within it that is causing the problem. This may require re-creating the battle and then recompiling the campaign. We haven't gotten around to doing that as of yet and I'm not absolutely sure when we'll have a fix for this problem. In the past there have been some bug fixes to fix campaign problems, but the Nightstalker's problem has persisted.
It's good to hear that it is being looked into.

Still no reply on this from my support ticket... been quite some time now.
Not sure I want to buy the new modules and start a campaign that I can't finish *again*.

I recieve an 'Out of Memory Error' when loading a saved campaign game.
I have already tried:
1. Reducing the game options to fastest and playing on the lowest resolution
2. Downgrading my ATI drivers - currently 8.3
3. 'Losing' the last good campaign game by offering a cease fire - this resulted in the next campign save suffering from the same error
If I take the same campaign game save to another PC (faster, more memory and better Nvidia graphics card) and load it I get the same error.
Modern computers do not just 'Run out of memory' this is likely to be a problem within the games internal memory management or in fact the error message may be a red herring.

NB I opened a support ticket for this.

Well I must like this game as I just bought Marines and British Forces to get it to work.
Sorry about hijacking your thread Defilen - but this solution works
