  1. Well I've been fooling around, and I've managed to get the strength script working the way I want. Basically, if Iran takes Jerusalem, Israel retaliates and launches the Samson option and devastates friendly and enemy troops with nuclear weapons.

I also want selected cities to lose their strength for a time, but not for the the whole game. Also, is it possible to have a country that is not active (Russia) lose resource strength in Moscow? I want the Samson Option to also devastate Moscow even though they have not joined the war.

Here is my supply script that failed to work...

    {

    #NAME= Samson Option

    #POPUP= Nuclear Devastation!

    #IMAGE=

    #SOUND=

    #FLAG= 1

    #TYPE= 2

    #AI= 0

    #LEVEL= 0

Set global variable condition to always trigger (dummy value)

    #GV= 1[1,100]

Set link value to always trigger (dummy value)

    #LINK= 0[0]

    #COUNTRY_ID= 29

    #FLAG_ID= 29

    #TRIGGER= 100

    #SEASON_FLAG= 0

    #DATE= 2013/01/01

    Set variable conditions:

1st Line - Israel politically aligned with the Allies and surrendered

    #VARIABLE_CONDITION= 29 [2] [100] [1]

    Troops in Jerusalem (dummy value)

    #SOURCE_POSITION= 0,0 [0]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 101,23 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 98,29 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 99,31 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 108,31 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 112,26 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 113,23 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 119,28 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 103,28 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 107,26 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 108,29 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 80,30 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 103,10 [5,10]

    #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 102,26 [5,10]

    }

  2. have an event reduce a city's mpp's/strength to zero for the remainder of a campaign?

Let's say country (a) takes country (B)'s city, and when this happens country (B) decides to launch all their nukes to destroy cities all over the map. I want all these cities to remain at zero for the rest of the game.

    Is this possible?

    thank you :D

  3. Thanks for the update Hubert, I'll be looking forward to using the editor. :)

    u8led,

Looks good so far, I like the sprites, and it looks like in your screen shot that Jordan has been taken over by Israel eh?

    Check your spelling for Pakistan.

Sorry to be annoying :) , but your spelling for Afghanistan is wrong, and Eastern Block, should be Eastern Bloc.

  4. Nice! I would love to see someone finish WWIII mod. I had plans for one, waited for Global Conflict, and now once I have it the editor runs like molasses on a cold day, and won't save. I guess it's windows 7, because my computer is powerfu.

Anway, good luck with it, I would like to play something other than WWII.

    One comment, three questions...

First, your spelling of Israel is wrong, it's not "IsREAL".

    and...

    What of the European Union?

    What about nukes?

Are you going to have a back story?

  5. Thanks for the update, that's good to know.

I'll wait for the patch to come out, before I attempt any editing. :)

*As a side note, the reason I purchased all the Strategic Command games and will continue to do so, is not just because of the great games but also because of the great customer service, I can't think of any game where the delevoper responds on the message board. Thanks Hubert and others!*

  6. I opened the editor and pulled up "Alliance of Evil" t do some editng, and I can't even move around the map. The scrolling is at a snails pace, and when I try to remove a unit, I have to wait 5 seconds for the editor to acknowledge my click. Is this normal?

    Here are my computer specs...

    Intel® Core i3-330M Dual Core processor (2.13GHz, 3MB L2 Cache)

    • 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)

    • 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive

    • 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 320M - For i3, i5 and i7-620QM Processors

  7. Thanks Hubert, I found another one.

During the Alliance of Evil campaign, the arrows in Mexico to frome east Mexico to West, and reverse don't work. The reason I know this is because I invaded them and took them out before they could cause trouble and I wasn't able to bring my tank to east Mexico, and bring my troops back west to stage the invasion of Russia.

    thanks

  8. I wasn't sure where to post bugs, but I'm playing the Alliance of Evil campaign right now, and even though I'm having fun getting my butt whooped as the allies, I've found two bugs so far that keep taking me out of the game. They are as follows:

    1. I consistently receive a message that Japanese forces lose strength from the Soviet siege in Seoul, even though I withdrew from Seoul two years ago game time.

    2. The year is 1941 and I haven't allowed the Germans to get an inch of France, but at the begining of my last turn I received a message with a picture saying Charles De Gaul has returned to Paris, and Paris was never taken a De Gaul we entrenched in the mine east of Paris.

otherwise the campaign fun so far, but these bugs make me wonder what else is wrong.

    thanks

  9. Sidius,

Depending on the year, you may want to have Iraq and Egypt allied with Israel, considering that the United States invaded Iraq, and Egypt is on Israel's good side (at the moment) and allied to the West so to speak like Saudi Arabia and Jordan are. If Israel is attacked, it would have to be a very large terrorist attack for them to declare war on all their neighbors. I think you could create an interesting situation by having them fight Iran and Syria, plus you could throw in Hezbollah from Lebanon. The United States would get caught up in this war also, considering they have troops based in Iraq and Kuwait. So if Iraq declared war on Israel, they would also have to deal with the U.S. troops in country.

Where the "terrorists" located, and how does Russia and China fit into the scheme of things?
