    use you AMD or intel?

    and if this are twin core or 64 bit?

    because i using AMD 2200+ (so is old processor generation)

    but what i don't understand, is that all other program run it under my computer settings.

    so old meshreader, and all other tools.

  2. hi slaphappy, TOW map use different file, so if mapper create hf.raw file under photoshop, is same as mapper create map elevation under terrain map editor tools.

    difference between map editor elevation tools and create elevation under photoshop, under photoshop relief of terrain is 100% exact of terrain form.

    So contour line done real terrain form.

  3. Hi, to moment, i been under contact with dr.jones, so i have try it, under windows xp pro, program don't run, program was tested by dr.jones under windows vista.

    so if peopple would send report, if this program run under xp, or if program don't run.

    i have try it with directx version march 2008 and with net framerwork 2.0.

    yes here is 5 isolines on exemple,was just as exemple that you can see it the height between water and max height of terrain,but on normal tow map, each isoline have 10 meters no?

    here on my map, this was terrain level for 4x4km so far map.

    i don't remind me, if the amount information, was 10 meter for each isoline, or if amount has another per each height level.

  6. hi, you don't should ask over camo, but if you'r asking question, is over texture so this change all.

    Difference between camo and texture is:

    A camo is based by multiple color, and a texture it was is created, texture can use 1 color so as by allied force we have use olive drab color (1 color), so camo texture can use 2,3,4....... color.

    An 3d object for game, should use a texture, because by adding a texture on object, modder can better add real aspect of unit or object.

    So modder don't need to modeling complete form of object, but can modeling object into approximate form.

    So modder don't need to add all detail into 3d, but modder draw detail on texture file.

    So from a square form modder can draw a circle form so as wheels.

    So modder with texture can hide a great amount detail from raw object.

    And netting and sandbag and other details, this was used into ww2.But this don't can be are compare with real because, into game, gamer see emplacement of ennemy force, so this camo don't serve any other as details of real object look.

    And by real life, so camo,when a unit has camouflage, unit have can wait to smaller shooting range, to shoot ennemy. So better armor piercing chance, or destroy chance.

    draw you all isoline under photoshop, or use you a terrain software?

    because, DEM map (Digital Elevation Model)don't exist for complete world area, or is don't on ou'r resolution 4x4km so many isoline level map should are make by hand drawing under photoshop.

    So what method use you to create this file?

    This is all good information, i self i know, but i need better explain on new map to insert in tow map editor.

    So can't you me explain after map are finish under photoshop, so what need are make as edition, so that map is ready to load into mapeditor?

    here i speak by start a full new map, without old listed into mapeditor, a full new map whit other terrain texture etc..

  9. hi, And gnasher, don't forget that planes model from IL2 game, contain another hierarchy we plane into TOW, into tow plane is just modded into 1 bone part, or into IL2 game, it exist various bones amount, same bones amount as tank model category into TOW.

    So exist a various other little detail, we don't permit in easy way to import IL2 game model into TOW.

    And to moment any others what have interests, is to convert animation from model.

    Because Obj format don't permit to save any information about animation, 3ds format yes. So conversion should are done into 3ds format and nothing allias wavefront old format.

  10. Where would one find the water table elevation value. If it exists is it even accessable? If the lowest point on a map is 80HL is there any way of globally changing the elevation to make water easily accessable.

    Hi, have you try to make ground value into negativ value?

    so if you would make into normal time a mountain, than you should make elevation ok, but to make a deepness lake, so you should try to go reverse elevation. Into negative value.

    try just with add negatif sign "-".

    I don't if it possible, i know just, that river have 1 meter deepness level.

    so if this don't possible with graphic editor, try with value manual edit, or edit level map with reversed ground level, so that give positiv and negativ level on level map.

    "mono.mcn"

    and "mono_dead.mcn"

    should are packed, so i have extract complete SFS file, nothing found.

    but any extracted directory, some whas clear, nothing file present in this extracted directory.

    should are this to add into filelist?

    now if i understand you correct, you have copied and rename this directory name to odon, is this what you have try to explain?

    I opened the 001odon map
    sorry but is this you'r personal new project (new map)?

    Because i have try to find 001odon map in directory, but don't exist original map called with this name.

    copied it and renamed the folder to Odon
    so if i you understand correct, here you explain, that you have modify a existing map, and rename it to 001odon.????

    So explain in step per step, what you have make, or what you have change.

    if you have modify a existing map, so please list original name of map.

    Multiplayer: Deathmatch

    A Multiplayer mission for up to 8 players (humans or AIs). You will be able to play this mission alone, if you set all other players to AI control. This way you can play various missions, for example, 8 player DM, 4x4, 2x6, 3x2, 2 humans against 3 AIs, or whatever you want. In the Battle generator you just set the possible armies and their possible spawn locations, other choices are made immediately before starting the mission, in the server settings.

    Multiplayer: Attack and Defend

    This is different from the previous mission type because two groups of players have set goals – one must defend and another must assault. Players may be humans or AIs too.

    Various Victory Conditions are also configurable and include the following:

    Timed

    Game will end after a set time. The defending player or players will win if not destroyed before time runs out. In Deathmatch, the player with highest kill count wins.

(don't possible to extract him with this version of sfs extractor, because this version of sfs extractor use update program to read new sfs file,and is too technical talk to explain it). And update program don't compatible with kalypso version.

  16. hi, i think know reason, reason is that kalypso have many personel lack, so 1 persone should make any changing, and this cost time.

    or it don't have good personal,so don't know what really is to make!

    because, if battlefront have succes to translate update in time, why kalypso should use 2x or 3x more time!

    but here is yards units and don't meter range.

    3000 yards = 2700 meter ~

    Several of the New Zealand antitank gunners' experiences in combating Tigers will be of special interest:

    1. A Tiger was observed about 3,000 yards away, engaging three Shermans. When it set one of the Shermans afire, the other two withdrew over a crest. A 17-pounder was brought up to within 2,400 yards of the Tiger, and engaged it from a flank. When the Tiger realized that it was being engaged by a high-velocity gun, it swung around 90 degrees so that its heavy frontal armor was toward the gun. In the ensuing duel, one round hit the turret, another round hit the suspension, and two near-short rounds probably ricocheted into the tank. The tank was not put out of action. The range was too great to expect a kill; hence the New Zealanders' tactics were to make the Tiger expose its flank to the Shermans at a range of almost 500 yards, by swinging around onto the antitank gun. The Tiger did just this, and, when it was engaged by the Shermans, it withdrew. The enemy infantry protection of half a dozen to a dozen men was engaged by machine guns.

    But think you that player need just coming into this section, to done liste of vehicle or gun, we it like, that modder should mod it?

    to moment, it forget many modder, so if you like mod 3d, than you'r are welkome.

    And it forget many other units, but the major main units we into Blitzkrieg historical battle have participate, is into game, yes 88mm gun was used by year 1940, but a bit number, nothing all flak abteilung have used 3 88mm flak batteries, many was 25mm and 37mm, and game coming each time with 1942-43,44,45 model typ.

    and have you read oudy modding faq?

    it explain many different method to create new units, by simply change existent part.

    and sorry if i have you shock, but many player coming into this section, and simply done she list of units that it like play, and, don't know really amount number of works hours we this cost.

    And second problem after that this units is created, many of this same gamer, make critic that skin is don't original, or should are a bit more light or darken,but think you modder are under order from gamer, so modeling units so we gamer like have?

    and third problem is that many of this same gamer, would start to modeling self.

    But after a great amount of this starter don't know to use any 3d software, and so it start many question on 3ds.

    So should many modder done step by step starter tutorial and should explain we starter should make to create this.

    But it explain into Sneaksie translation tutorial, modder should have experience to modeling units under 3ds, because nothing help information is done by 1C group.
