  1. Double click on the leader of a squad and your commands are adressed to the squad in total like all CC versions.

I dont know, I like control of single soldiers, on mission set up you can re-group you men into different teams and they can be pulled and pushed into anti-tank guns. You can custom manage what weapons they pick up from the battlefield, I would hate to lose this feature, it can be a bit troublesome in large battles, maybe a 1/4 speed would be handy for those really intense times when there are 3 or 4 battles that need attention.......Anyway surely Kursk will be more about armour?

  2. unzip them into ToW main folder, then select the campaign from extra campaigns in game.

You need a minimum of JSH 1.3.2 & Knokke's Typhoon mod although JSH 1.3.5 should be fine, at least I haven't broken it with this version yet.

I've downloaded the files and openned up the campaign, first of all the program crashes jut as the progress bar started trying to load the first battle Cheux. I check and moved the Cheux file into the maps section and now the progess bar gets to about 7/8th before crashing. I'm sure its something simple like a file in the wromg place, any ideas?

    Cheers again

    Monty

  3. Although I could open the saved files in the camp. editor they where not saving in the main Programme directory, i'm guessing its a Vista thing? Not enough access privilages, so I had to open two windows and drag/transfer all the files manually. i dont understand how they could be in the same place yet not open.... but then my knowledge of computers is very basic

  4. Yeah, still can't find anything....I've managed to download and play the first Italian battle, but I have had no luck opening the second italian mission or any i've created. They are saved in the Mission editor and I can open them but when I open TOW 2 and go to the single missions there is only the first Italian mission?

    Any idea?

  5. Guys, I think the 'Armchair' General report is spot on, I am a big fan of these type of games. I think TOW & TOW2 are excellent...prob the best i've played, TOW 2 has so much more to offer, I got weeks of fun from TOW, however even though TOW 2 is EXCELLENT, I only got a weekends fun...not too many bangs for bucks !!! Since then I have spent the remainder of time on these forums trying to work out how to make battles...and i'm still no further on!!!! All this 'MODs' and create your own maps is just too much for some of us 'non-computer' guys....please please KEEP IT SIMPLE! or at least provide some easy moron proof instructions to play some games. Times precious I work long hours and it's nice to come home in the evening or at the weekend to play a game not spend hours down loading patches and add ons and then trying to work out which file needs to be....

  6. Hi

Thank you, if you can find out any more that would be great as I bought the laptop specifically in mind to play TOW. I have tried run as administrator.

My desktop is AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200 2.20 GHZ, I can get the game to work wen I remove the graphics card and tick the box 1 CPU. The graphic card for the desk top is a Radeon X1300.

    Best regards

    Michael

  7. Hi Sneaksie,

My computer knowledge is rather basic but

I have a graphic card in my laptop and it is aGeforce 8600M GT and I think the video system is DirectX version 10.

I am unsure about the desk top I will check when I get home later.

    Thanks

  8. I paid and downloaded T.O.W from the internet onto my old computer and also got the disc posted too. I installed the game and got it working ok, but then I got a graphics card which works fine with all my other games but not T.O.W. Anyway I have bought a new laptop and I am trying to install T.O.W but nothing works after I have installed, and when I click to open the game the following message appears '1813-2' Can anyone help?
