  1. I have a dual core CPU. Setup for TOW asks whether to use single or multi-core. I read some words about the 1.3 patch saying it does something new/good for multi-core.

I read somewhere in the documentation for some game to NOT select multi-core option, but I can't now recall if that was for the "TOW Demo" or some other game/sim.

Bottom line question: Should I select multi-core in the TOW Setup/options?

  2. I am just starting to learn TOW Demo. I have set Screen Resolution to 1920X1200 (My 24" widescreen monitor's native resolution). Is it normal that the opening Menu/Splash screen shows in what looks like 800X600, then changes once you start a mission to 1920X1200?

What resolution do most players use? At 1920X1200 it looks good, but the text in the training hints/directions is too small, as you might expect.

  3. I am new to TOW. Just ordering it, in fact. How does one install the Mod? Is it self-installing with a setup (*.exe) file, or must one manually place certain files into certain TOW folders?

Or...is there a JGSME Mod/Installation management application such as is used with Silent Hunter 4?

I assume I would be best served by immediately installing this Mod after I install the basic game, correct?

  4. Before I purchase TOW, are there any known problems/issues with running TOW on VISTA OS. I know about installing programs/Games into a folder other than C:\Program Files. IL2-FB-PF-1946 work with no problems on my system...as does Silent Hunter 4 and Company of Heroes. My GraphicsCard works for both DX10 (COH upgrade Patch) and also OGL (IL2-1946, etc).

    My system:

    ASUS P5N32-E SLI

    Dual core E6700 Cpu

    2GB OCZ PC2 8800 (1100Mhz) RAM

    BFG 8800GTX Graphics card

    Audigy2 ZS

24" Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 native

    Windows VISTA 32bit

P.S. Is TOW playable in Widescreen at 1900X1200 resolution?
