  1. I had a nephew (still do, actually) who went into the Marines in the late '90s. He SWEARS that a large precentage of his webbing was WWII vintage. Perheps in 2059 a future generation is still going to be carrying pieces of 2009 kit around.

It's the Marine Corps.... they don't really have a big budget, especially when compared to the Army, which is why the Army gets all the toys.

The Corps gets the job done with what they have.

  2. So, I reinstalled CMSF and Marines yesterday, entered my key, and.... "This key has been used too many times."

So I go through the process of doing it "offline", and send it in. It comes back "Too many keys are being used, or none are available".

So I sent an email. No reply as of yet.

Posting this so those with the connections can get people to check their emails :)

  3. What I like to do when attacking a town is this:

Put Strykers about 300m from the edge of the town and disembark my men. I creep one Stryker up to lure the fighters out of their cover, and when they open up on the vehicle, I basically unload hell on their known points.

I might call in some arty if I deem necessary.

After the firing has died down I load one squad up into a Stryker and make a mad dash for a nearby CLEAR building and make them rush in under smoke cover. I use the Stryker as fire support while they get in.

Once in they usually recieve a lot of incoming fire, so I make them hide and have the vehicles do all the firing. I will then eventually move my infantry from building to building. I rather not risk my vehilces to RPG threats.. for some reason I always lose them in one hit.. whole hella lot of good the slat armour does...

  4. "It clearly demonstrates that the way to decisive and unambiguous victory is to kill as many as possible, as quickly as possible using every asset available, especially air and artillery. "

You obviously have forgotten about the battle for Fallujah...

Whole city was told to evacuate. Those that did not were told to stay within their homes and not drive their cars, and a round the clock curfew was placed by the Iraqi Govt.

This meant that any one on the street was to be considered a hostile.

And last I checked.. this battle plan worked perfectly.

SO what your problem with us using all the power deemed necessary?
