    My main problem with the time constraint is for example the first mission of the campaign.

    Personally the way I like to play is setup my units cafefully, move out and start clearing with each unit covering each other, slow and steady to minimize casualty's, as most times if you burn in with a squad in a stryker more times than not a good RPG hit takes it all out, or suppresive machingun fire pins your men and ends up wiping them out, for me i like to plan carefully then move in clearing areas and suppressing others, unfortunatly this takes alot of time, especially when half way through you get re-enforced, u then need to take time to position new units in the field.

    I don't see the harm in allowing an option for time limit on/off.

    Cheers for the reply mate,

    Turns out after a bit of tinkering around what i ended up getting working was the AMD duel core fix and alt tabbing from the game and setting it to 1 CPU....so far hasnt crashed :D

    BTW, is there any way to disable the time limit?

    As i love doing the house to houses and i just take some time getting things done, i am finding the time is running out before i can finish up, so far i have had a lot of draws....

    I am posting this in absolute desparation :(

    So far i really like the game however even after the 1.02 patch i am still getting constant lockup, i have had the game since the 28th and am still yet to complete the first campaign mission, the game just simply keeps locking up, i have tried to play again tonight however i am up to the 15th lockup in the mission....can anyone pleeeease help me...

    my pc isnt the best for this game...

    AMD X2 4400

    2gb RAM

    8800GTS

    i have tried all the fixes but no go....

    Firstly as per other posts i've put up.

    In no way shape or for are my following comment's aimed for a negative imput for BF or anyone else.

    I am very new to the whole BF series and am kicking myself i did not find them earlier as these type of games are the ones i have wished for.

    BF have just got themselves a loyal customer from me smile.gif

    never have i seen from any game developer take such an active part in forums and relaying the communities requests into the games......that said, i LOVE CM:SF however there are a few things that are really stopping me from enjoying this game..

    1) Game performance, i have a AMD X@ 4400, 8800 and all the bells and whistles, but this game still runs shocking...mouse lag and also general "feel"

    2) i think i have found a bug with the javelins..i have done some "testing" in a way and found that a javelin team/soldier will fire all the time, everytime if you target a static building, however when i select and enemy or a building with an enemy in it the do not fire.

    3) LOS....

    4) AI..this i could make quite extensive, but my main gripes are infantry never use improvised entrances (holes in the wall) they alway take the front door.

    And armour..if i blow a wall down with an abrams round, no vehicles will us that gap...they take the long route where an opening is.

    these are my biggest things for me.

    I would really like for BF staff to at least acknowlage this particuler thread as (in a selfish way :D ) my issues listed here are known ones so i know that this game will have the enjoyment it was suppose to.

    all this said i can't say how happy i am that a game like this has been released, BF you have gained my unwaivering support for all things you try :D .

    I am in complete aggreance(???) with you.

    im brand new to this series and absolutly love this game and its finer details.

    The MG reloading animation is the best so far :D

    but i find my enjoyance taking a big hit.

    Mainly due to performance, i would think my X2 AMD 4400 with 2gig RAM and a 8800GTS would run this flawlessly, however even taking it back to 1 core doesn't seem to make a differance :( ..(any help appreciated)

    biggest thing for me though is if i blow a whole in a building, my men still run round the front and get shot, and the complete unpredictability of when my squad will use there javelin or not, 9 times out of 10 i give them a target, they switch to javelin but dont fire, and they have 3 rounds to use.

    i really hope BF reads these threads and can change these issues as i really want to like this game but these problems are making it a bit hard tongue.gif

    First off I'll just say a big hi to everyone :D

    secondly...some rock i've been living under...

    for too long i have just sat back and thought..jeeez, someone should make an ultra realistic tactical war game, one that just doesn't rely on a tank rush or an ion cannon....i thought i was the only one who was into these kinda games....

    and then....THIS!!!!!!!

    Battlefront you friggin legends!

    not only is there a WW2 based game...but also a middle east based one.

    i can't say how good this is....

    so upon stumbling along this, i ordered the special edition (gotta have the map tongue.gif )

    and went and downloaded the game.

    after playing the tutorial and a few battles, i have a new no.1 game!

    so well done battlefront for a game that will suck my life away ;)

    now been completly new to the BF games i have some questions after playing for a day......

    firstly is it possible to fire the javalines into buildings?

    i think this has been asked before but no final answer.

    i select my squad to fire at either the men in the building or the building itself, the guy switches to javalin but just stands there, am i missing something?

    also a big thing for me is the urban fighting,

    from what i read, this game offers some really cool features, like entering a town with some strykers up front, then the IED lights it up...very nice touch for realism smile.gif

    anywho, i really am trying to get into the urban fighting but am finding whene moving squads between buildning the don't seem to follow an "urban" fighting formation, they seem to scatter on the road, thus opening themselves to fire.

    also with one squad i pulled up in front of an occupied builing, launched smoke and ordered the men out of the stryker and to assault the 3rd level...when the exited the stryker they seemed to walk around the stryker, then back and forth, 1 guy went in and the rest stood round and got shot up.am i doing something wrong?

    hhhmmm, this post seems to be heaps long :/

    but all in all battlefront a big well done and keep em commin!!!!!!!

    sorry one more thing..... is there anything in the works for addons or something, with additional unit types?
