  1. I haven't been here in a long time but the new forum remembered my user credentials. However, I had to create a new Battlefront account, even though I'm using the same email address I used to order products in the past. How do I find my order history? It's telling me I've bought nothing under this account, though I bought at least 4 or 5 different products previously.

  2. I play on 3 different computers and this error occurs repeatedly. When you get the error it will still take you to the dogfight screen but nothing ever loads. I sometimes have to start a battle 2 or 3 times to get in and play. I don't know if the error is the same at all times, but I am only going to type it out by hand once! The fact that it happens on 3 different computers at 3 different locations tells me that it's probably not on my end. Anyway, here's the error.

The dialogue box is entitled eDiF Error and the error text has a red circle with a white X in it next to it. The text is as follows:

    Error occurred in: System.Runtime.Remoting

    Description: Requested Service not found

    Trace Info:

    Server stack trace:

    Exception rethrown at [0]:

As I said, this happens A LOT. I wouldn't have bothered to write all of this out but with the frequency of its occurrence, combined with the frequent server down time, it's really starting to piss me off. Do you think there's a relationship between this error and the server down time? Is it time to put a new server or what?

  3. Yes, jomni, that is usually what happens. Eventually it will probably tell you that the server does not exist or is not available, etc. I'm posting this about 2.25 hours after your post and the server is still not accepting logins. What do we need to do to keep this thing up and running?

  4. Can you contact the powers that be again? Looks like the server isn't responding again. Maybe Battlefront should get D batteries instead of Cs to run that thing. I was trying to get some people to buy the DiF bundle, but I don't know if can justify doing that with the regularity that the server is unavailable.

  5. I really like this idea, as it meshes well with my own concepts of hierarchical command structures. I do have a couple of questions, however:

    1) This is purely player driven, correct? There's not a way to make the game engine implement these rules, is there?

    2) What is meant by 'section'? Is that the same as 'team'?

    3) Do vehicles not have to worry about command units?

    4) Who has inherent command of teams?

I'm sure I have more but I'm still trying to absorb this document at the moment.

  6. That's fine, but it's unfair to me, as I achieved the absolute best result possible in the fight. That means that a victory was never possible! I submit that the software failed by creating a random scenario that was overly imbalanced. But, still, I will never accept that shooting down both enemies without getting a scratch is any form of 'defeat'. Put two more planes up there and let me go 2 vs. 4 then!
