I am afraid, it is not available. As a pathological narcissist I miss it more than any other, believe me.

Like my system, except I am using a GeForce6600. Runs well with standart settings. Until I tried to create map with 16km² ...Originally posted by jomni:Yes this game seems to work for low end rigs as well. My rig:
3.0 P4
512 RAM
ATI Radeon 9250 (256MB)

You can regard it as confirmed. Exactly what I have fumed at too already ... although I first thought, that bulding was too small for unpacking the MG. Also it needed 2 minutes before the team came to the idea to use a jevelin to "create" a wider field of view by blowing away a wall.I've also found another bug:
[Although it needs to be confirmed at this point] MG Teams on some rooftops (mostly those with "higher" walls) do not/cannot deploy their heavy machine gun... If they have Javelin launchers, they also take a while before they fire their Javelin at targets (compared to those on troops on ground level).

Yes, I am missing the 60mm mortar too.
If sometimes the M113 - and IMO this veteran deserves consideration - should be implemented, there should be not forgotten the M577. Beside possible trucks (standart, fuel, ammo) then there could also be added the ambulance version of the M113 (I do not know the US designation).
As elements of the Airborne Corps would be surely part of a task force they should also thinking about adding the M966 resp. M1045/M1046 and adding Airborne/Air Assault Batallions to the units as another branch beside standart and heavy.

I am afraid, I have not mentioned this:
I'm deeply impressed how Battlefront and their team keep in touch with their customers and how they respond to questions, wishes, suggestions and so on.
I have never been so well informed about a game before release and during post-release-refinement.
Compliments!

Great! That takes it one step closer to a big game.

Gamersgate definetely accepts Paypal. I have bought Victoria-Revolutions and Theatre of War a few months ago from them. (And if CMSF would have not been "physically" available in German shops I would have download it from there too ...)Originally posted by Darren J Pierson:It looks like Gamersgate (Paradox's download store) accepts paypal, but not their webstore which ships physical boxed copies.

Yes, I am missing it too. And even there are not a lot of that kind in Syria: Fir trees to make at least some European-style scenarios ...Originally posted by GonzoAttacker:Dissapointed no bridges or overpasses, and no train tracks too...

  :confused:Originally posted by The Beast (nl):I am a dutchman and i want to have
paypal to buy this game.
This game is only for americans just like
Theatre of war.
Paypal is for us Europeans! I am from Germany and I use paypal. But do not worry, before the game isn't patched, you do not miss a lot ...
It is indeed very quick and usable ...

Me too. Especially I miss the ability to give the Lieutenant Colonel "my" name.Originally posted by scottie:i would like more detail about the units, names etc ... i like to build an emotional attachment to units , makes me more careful.

Great! It is straight realism if my rifle squads is sitting back in the Bradley and does not realize that they are surrounded by enemy forces.

I am waiting with benevolence. CMSF for me has still the potential to become my favourite game.Originally posted by Battlefront.com:It's a fair shake and I'll not try to disuade you from putting it aside until the next patch. That should be coming up very soon. I have no idea how much closer we'll get it to your expectations, but there will be improvements to the things you mentioned for sure.
Stay tuned!

I had a crush on CMSF since the moment I had seen the first screenshot more than one year ago, I couldn't wait to download the demo on the early morning (MEST) of friday 27th July and I rushed to the nearest shop to buy some hours later ... I played for some hours, was impressed by the graphics, used the editor excessively to create my own "tutorials" and was fascinated by all the strategic and tactical possibilities CMSF offered - theoretically and hypothetically. My love seemed to be fullfilled. Then - as many members here - I become aware of more and more bugs. Disillusion! Now it is clear that you need more to know about how the engine and the AI handles the game than knowledge of (military) strategies and tactics to reach your goals in a scenery. It is almost unplayable. Sentimenally thinking back to Steel Panthers and CM1 ...
I do not need to select the weapons my soldiers had to use (as in Steel Panthers) but I am going to ban CMSF from my harddrive until the game has been patched significantly, especially LOS (walls!) and pathfinding ( ... blasted walls of houses!) and so on. If that essential work is done I will gladly "return" to Syria or where ever forthcoming modules, add-ons or whatever CM2 leads ...

I just think of actions beyond Syria ...Originally posted by Yskonyn:I don't think you come across water that often in the CMSF setting.

Me too. But some more objects would be fine. Civilian vehicles maybe too. And water ... and bridges ...Originally posted by ParaBellum:Totally in love with the scenario editor!

Trucks ... I am dreaming of trucks too. Some European equipment would be fine. I would prefer Leos, Challengers, AMX-10 RCs and Marders, Warriors and VABs instead of LAV and AAV7s the next time. And a lot of more objects for the editor. And one or two patches, that repair some major bugs. Well, that's all.
P.S. Apart from this: IT'S A GREAT GAME!

I have got the same problem: Moved the IFV under enemy fire to the backside of (a lonely) house, diesembarked the engineers, let them blast the wall away - and these idiots ran to the front - and into lethal fire - to use the door ...
