I understand what JasonC is trying to say, Indeed HE charges compared in whats going on when the shell strikes the armor seems like shooting a watergun into a hurricane. But John Kettler does have a point with his sources, and its hard to ignore such facts. Thanks very much John Kettler for the massive information you gave me. Do you have deeper information in Pzgn39 after penetration effect in T-34 and BR-350A/B against Panzer IV after penetration? You will find lots of combat reports of german crews claiming that T-34s would catch on fire or explode most of time in the first or second penetration.

  2. Sorry for posting this again, but i seen to not get much attention in the general threat

    I was wondering how effective they are since theres a huge debate in Tripwire forums. (http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...t=82009&page=8)

    Unus Offa, Unus Nex claims that both US 75mm M3 and Soviet F34 rounds had a very unreliable fuses and did not work must of the time due to it being based of outdated shrinked navy HE charges. While also states that the small 18 gram HE charge of pure RDX of the Pzgn.39 would pierce a T-34 and cause a explosion and set it on fire 9/10. I personally find it hard to believe that the soviets and americans failed with the he fuse and did nothing about it.

    Since I love this forum so much "wink" and I think you guys are are very well informed bunch, I would like to read what you have to say about this...

    Resuming: 76.2 F34 firing BR350A or B with big HE burst of TNT with mixture- Very rarely effective due to being "outdated"

    75mm KWK40 L/43 firing Pzgn39 with small 18 gram of pure RDX destroyes everything hehe.

    That would mean CMBB isn't very well modeled in that subject aswell, now wouldn't it?

  4. Thank you, yes I used audacity and put 16bit and now everything works.

    One more thing, I hate having Panther sounding same as sherman and thompson same as mp40 and kar98k same as m1 garand and so on... You cannot make different sounds at all for each one of them???

  5. But that doesnt make any sense. The M3 gun was outdated against panzer IVs.Because all books ever read, said the M3 was already outdated against 80mm thick armor such as tiger side and back armor and stug frontal armor and panzer IV hull.

    Even wiki says so(I normally dont tend to guide trew it). "80mm thick was enouph to to take serious threat from 75mm M3 and 76mm F34 gun". What the hell? The german tests proove that as well, in a 60degree angle it has to come with 100m too pierce 80mm.

    Wikipedia: "Against earlier-model Panzer IVs, it could hold its own, but with its 75 mm M3 gun, struggled against the late-model Panzer IV (and was unable to penetrate the frontal armor of Panther and Tiger tanks at virtually any range).[96] The late-model Panzer IV's 80 mm (3.15 in) frontal hull armor could easily withstand hits from the 75 mm (2.95 in) weapon on the Sherman at normal combat ranges,[97] though the turret remained vulnerable."     Wa Pruf claims the following:

    M4A1/3 penetrates pzIVH at ranges up to: 100m on hull (even tough it is based on 60degrees from horinzontal or 30 degrees from vertical)

    Plus, like I said before, in each combat mission game theres different penetration from each gun. I mean like Panzer IV has slightly different penetrations in each game.

    Also why do the soviets have bad penetrations with their M3 and 76mm american gun on CMBB?

    "As shown in penetration Range Tables 1,2 and 3, // Pz.Kpfw.IV with 7.5cm KwK40 was superior to the american M4 medium Tank with 75mm M3 and the Russian T-34/76."

    And many more. In CMBB everything works out fine, now I have looked deep into CMBO and also its still kinda wierd and in CMAK aswell. I find panzer IVs being defeated all the from front all normal combat ranges.

    Dont take me wrong, im not saying its overpowered for real, just saying it looks, and I would like someone to show me this is correct.

    By the way, what was the M72 Shot used for?

  6. I just got bunch of combat missions. I had only CMBB of cmx1, now also have CMAK and CMBO

    Now i have questions.

    First of all, why is in each game penetrations slightly different?

    Second, CMBB and CMBO have some nice standard penetrations. But for some reason I think that CMAK have some serious overpowered guns, specially on American side. What the hell is a 75mm M3 pierce over 80mm at 1000m or more? What hell is this? Where did they base this on? Also at 100m it pierces more 100mm, what is going on?

    Even 76mm M5 goes trew more armor than it should.

    Its this for balance? I tough was suppost to be realism...

    CMBO and CMBB have both nice penetrations, whats up with CMAK?

  7. Sorry, I was really annoyed because i could not fully apreciate my game, now, im finding out making my own missions on mission editor.

    I got far with some help of the manual, but i press save to check out what i need more, it says the following:

    Area Area1 does not have deployment places

    Area Area1 does not have armies

    Area Area2 does not have deployment places

    Area Area2 does not have armies

    MaxPlayers = 4 > number of spawn points = 0

    Pos field of ArmyPlace of Army1 is empty

    Target field of ArmyPlace of Army1 is empty

    Playable army Army1 does not belong to any spawn area

    Pos field of ArmyPlace of Army2 is empty

    Target field of ArmyPlace of Army2 is empty

    Playable army Army2 does not belong to any spawn area

    How do i make those spawnpoints on the map, The area were players spawn a such and where i put what units each army has, thanks for the quick reply :)

  8. Alright, it has been sometime i want this game i bought it and my friend did it as well, he made a server i joined and then we found out we cannot play team match...

    Fine, lets do our own missions than, we said.

    I get to simple mission editor which its basicly like tow 1 which i like and when i get to a part where theres game type, i was like, what!? It doesnt have mp, my main thing is mp and it doesnt have mp, plus only has attack and deffend on sp!

    Why did they go back instead going foward? Tow 1 had everything and worked just fine, why they have to go foward in the gameplay and everything but when it comes to mission editor and mp which doesnt have maps for team, but some reason it says team, is like giving u a car and it doesnt have engine and steering wheel...Whats the point?

    Please fix this, i love this game alot and i have been client of battlefront for some time and i love their game, especially this one...

  10. I need help, this give me this error now.

    I played lots of time tow before. But i had to formate my computer and now i reinstalled.

    Finnished installition and if i press shortcut it gives me this error.

    1813-2

    I tough was a error that was 11 or something that lotsa people had and posted in forum and i readed but i look and its diferent, 1813-2.....

    Does not even launch the elincense thing.

    Pls help, dont ignore.

  11. CAn you belive in this??? In last week i played alot tow, and i could see 3 wierd penetrations that are impossible and the cannon does not have power to penetrate it even it says the penetration of the gun in game.

    1. First one was my Kingtiger, was penetrated in front by a Zis-2, its so stupid, Kingtiger has 150mm of body + Slopped armor whic increases is armor even more. And no i wa not close in a hill, i was right horinzoltaly at 500m.

    2. My Tiger Was Penetrate in front by a crowmell, at 800m, haha...

    3. Jagdpanther was knocked out at high distanc (dont remember) I think highter then 500m by a Sherman with 75mm!......

    Something not right sometimes in this game, sometimes we can have a super big cannon, and the tank shoot and hit a direct hit and nothing happens, or the tanks just is an idea by just aiming at other target and stays and stays and other target shoots and boo, and all this in a clear field with no hills. Or, the tanks just fails the shot at 100m....

    why, why....Thats why im playing lately Cm2...
