[What Happened to ToW?]

I totally agree with you. I own all TOW games and I absolutely love them despite their flaws. It's a shame that they decided to stop the series (I assume this because since TOW 3 there have been no news).

 

Yes, infantry dies too quickly, can't even jump 1 meter high fences and are useless inside buildings but this game with just minor changes would be the best real time tactical game ever. And it hasn't got the steep learning curve and weird graphics that the Combat mission games have.

 

Such a shame, because there are no other games like it. (forget about Men of War or Company of Heroes)

Don't know if someone is still monitoring this forum but I already asked this question to Battlefront's customer service an nobody answered.

 

What's the actual price for the Caen Expansion for TOW 2 Kursk?

 

It says on the website it is 5$ but when you go in and try to purchase it, it shows it costs 15$. To add a bit more confusion, it says it costs 25$ on the dropdown list where you can choose if you want download or mail delivery.

 

So... how much does this actually cost? 5$? 15$? 25$?

I've just changed my PC and I've reinstalled both games but every time I save it shows the "saving" message but then there is no save game to be seen. I can't save anything, even autosave does not work

I'm completely lost, what could it be? It happens on both games.

I use an SSD and Win7.

Hi there

I have a small favor to ask to the community.

I recently changed my computer and I forgot to save and transfer my saved games to my new one... (aaargh!) and I don't want to start all over again! So I'm kindly asking if anyone would be willing to share one of their saved games so I could play my favourite missions without having to go through to the whole games again.

Now that the new addon is coming I was thinking that some sort of Expansion based on the Spanish Civil War would be great. There aren't any games based on that conflict (at least any serious strategy games) and I think it would be very fun to play.

Many new units, soviet armament, italian troops... and playing as the republicans would be quite a challenge.

PS. Perhaps a mod is maybe more reasonable...

Gotta say, I'm really impressed that the developers on both sides are putting together such a nice package. That editor alone looks worth its weight in gold! It really appears the hype and spin are accurate - this is not just a patch, but a redefinition of this game. I really can't wait!

I think what did it was that I took all the unmanned french guns/tanks. As soon as I did that I got the finish battle/continue battle screen.

PS. and now I'm having trouble with the road to moscow mission; those russians kick my *** everytime... I guess I just need more hours of gameplay

What are the Victory conditions for this battle? I took the whole French position with 5-6 tanks but no Victory (all my infantry are manning field guns or trucks across the canal). There were a couple of enemy infantry (4-5 max, the rest is dead) that ran away off the map but some returned to fire with small arms at my tanks while the others just lied down off map. Do I really have to kill those guys to get the victory?

I've got the same problem... but... I've gone through the whole map looking for remaining enemy troops but can't find any. I've taken all enemy positions and I still can't finish...

[Stuck at dunkirk]

I just got this game and I've started a campaign as germany and on the first mission (dunkirk) I've destroyed all french positions but nothing happens, I can't fnish the mission and I've gone through the whole map looking for surviving french troops but found none. What am I missing?

[My impression of the demo]

I'm playing this demo over and over while I'm waiting for my copy to arrive and the only thing that bothers me are the low fps. But still... I can't wait to play the full version. I haven't been so excited about a WWII game since Close Combat!!
