  1. Has anyone been encountering this bug where sometimes a vehicle that's been commanded to go under a bridge suddenly appears on top of it?? I noticed this on the first US Campaign ('82 version) where several times my tank was supposed to drive under the bridge and then when I come back and look, it's now on top of the bridge. Sometimes the vehicle itself would become bugged where it tries to move across the bridge, but then gets stuck in an endless rubber banding loop.

  2. Okay, so i didnt actually put my router into dmz, but my computer into the router's DMZ. Now I put the router itself under the I.P. phone box's DMZ. And then I set norton's firewalls to ALLOW everything for CMSF.exe. My friend was able to connect to me, BUT only After 3 whole minutes! The entire match went off without a single network pause or crash. Except for when my friend exited from the map and CTD'd. Still it does seem to work now.

  3. I seem to keep either disconnecting or crashing when connected to my Host friend's computer during MP. When I say "disconnect", I mean that the game pauses and all I see is "Paused waiting for network data" indefinately. Meanwhile the game continues on for the Host but he'll eventually see that I quit on his side. Also, for some reason, my friend can never seem to connect to me when i try to host a game. But when i connect to him, the connection is instantanious.

Today I put my router into "DMZ" to see if that would make any difference. My friend still cannot connect to me but i can connect to him when he hosts. So we seem to be able to play for sometime without the network pausing the game. But a few minutes into the game I freeze and then get the message "CMSF.exe has stopped working". On my friend's side the match still went on but a minute or so later it says that i quit. Now I am also behind another router which is for my Internet Phone line. Is that something i should look into changing the settings as well?

  4. On the third mission of the Canadian Forces campaign, one of my objectives is to destroy several barricades made up of wrecked vehicles. I dont appear to have any demolition explosives and I can't seem to get my LAVs or Tanks to shoot at them because as soon as I give them the order to directly target a barricade they would say "Hold Fire" and do nothing. I can get them to target the empty ground behind the barricade and that sometimes gets them to hit some of the wrecked vehicles. But even then, these wrecked vehicles seem totally indestructable and shooting at them indirectly does nothing. I call down mortars on them and even that does nothing.

  5. In other words... will it ever be possible to create a WW2 germans (from CMBN) vs. modern day US Army mod? :D Or at least import Afghan maps and Afghans from CM A-Stan to CMSF?

And speaking of WW2 vs Modern Warfare, check out this trilogy of books called The Axis of Time - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axis_of_time It basically depicts what happens if a modern day military force fighting the war on terror suddenlly finds itself sent back to World War 2. Just think that might make for an interesting mod, if CMBN + CMSF were ever possible.

  6. With the next patch (1.33) CMSF development will probably stop. 1.33 will only address some bugs; no features from CMBN are going to be back-ported to CMSF unfortunately. There may be the possibility of one patch after 1.33 IF any significant bugs are found, but 1.33 will most likely be the last patch for CMSF.

I hope this doesnt mean CMSF 2 is going to come out in a few weeks now! :D Although I think that would be cool and all, I just bought CMSF + all 3 modules about a week ago.

  7. Again, have you been playing any other OpenGL games? It doesn't matter what you play if they all are Direct3D, because then they're different.

No, but at least we know now that it has something to do with the demo's AA/Multisampling setting which i can live without. I mean I don't see what else I can do at this point. The majority of my games are obviously Direct X so I'm not going to waste my time looking for another fix other than turning off AA/Multisampling in-game. I just hope that the full game doesnt do this, but even if it does than it wont bother me to turn off that setting again. Either way I'm liking the game so far from the just the demo alone, so I still plan on buying the full game. If you know how to get OpenGL AA/Multisampling to work without causing glitches after I leave an OpenGL game I'm willing to take your suggestions. Otherwise, don't bother, I'm fine with playing CMSF without AA.

  8. Did ya read my last post? I said it was being caused by the in-game AA/Multisampling setting. What about my first post? I said I had the latest Nvidia drivers.

Yes, my video card fan is spinning, yes it's clean. I don't even have to be PLAYING the game for this to happen, I just have to load to the menu, exit and I can see the glitch SO LONG as the IN-GAME AA/Multisampling was turned on.

I've got plenty of other games that I play for hours and hours that could so easily overheat my video card if indeed my fans werent working. None of them is causing a graphical glitch.
