[English Demo first impressions]

There are many improvements in TOW2 and the effects and graphics are great for a (realistic) RTS. Only the AA-problem makes it in some cases not possible to turn on the graphics highest level (HDR and SSAO off), even with an highend GPU.

The sounds are also an improvement compared with TOW1, only the dialogs should be close combat-dialogs (a lot more emotions!). I think a very important item to improve! It would increase the WOII-atmosphere. Remember CC, low graphics but what an atmosphere!!!

Closing comment: well done, but some minor issues that needs to be fixed to make this a standard!

But, it's not really clear for me, when I run the demo on my system - windowsXP, 3.0 dualcore, GT8800 - can I get smooth edges, without jaggies, when I turn HDR and SSAO on? Or do I need to buy a new video card?

Ofcourse I prefere the visual quality with HDR and SSAO on, but the jaggies are hurting my eyes...

I had the same strange graphics with HDR unchecked, but when you also uncheck ambient occlusion the strange graphics disappear and AA seems to work, currahee!!!

I think this is a serious problem. The game looks great, but if this problem not gets solved, it will be a no buy for me... Anyway, I still believe we'll get a solution from Moon or Sneaksie.

Are there a lot of guys/girls out there with the same AA problem?

Hi All

I'm running the demo on Pentium dualcore 3.0 with a GT8800Nvidia. I used the configuration screen from Nvidia, but did not succeed to get the AA like it shoot be! Any suggestions?

[runtime error #3 (trap)]

I made I battle with the battle generator, started to play it and after 5 min. a popup told me "runtime error #3 (trap) contact your vendor" and I had to leave a perfect battlefield! :eek:

I made a dualboot system (xp pro en vista ultimate), so I can choose between these 2 OS. For TOW I run, ofcourse, XP Pro. Everything runs smoot!

Sneaksie, I have 1 ? but , I think, for many gamers a very important 1! Are they (the great team of 1C) going to modifie the sounds. Even with top end graphics, good sounds are very important to shape a 'real' virtual world!

This game is really great, it's has some minor issues that needs to be fixed (sound for example, really the sound of the planes is terrible), but for a tactical game the developpers did already a great job!
