  1. My specs are:

    AMD 64 X2 3800

    2 gig ram

    7800GT

    windows xp sp2

I tried changing the settings to the lowest posible but it didn't seem to make any difference. I don't think its just slowdown though, because when i move the camera it seems kind of wobbly, like it sort of jump to one place and then back. I not really sure how to explain it. Any ideas on the problem? I assume it should run fine on my comp, especially with everything turned right down.

  2. The LOS tool would take TOW a step back as far as realism goes. It's a lot more realistic to hit ENTER and see what your units can see than to use a LOS tool.
Maybe, but when you have so many units to manage it would be less tedious if you just knew what they could see.
  3. Slightly off topic, but I cant stand the fact that when I select a group of different units (e.g. tanks & infantry) or even just infantry, they move at their own individual speeds. I don't want my f*****g tanks moving way ahead of my infantry when I specifically set them to a certain formation, otherwise what is the point of formations?

It takes the fun out of the game when I constantly have to baby sit every f*****g unit just so they keep a reasonable formation. Wouldn't it be a simple matter to add some code or add a command to move at the speed of the slowest unit?

This and the fact that you cannot add waypoints are seriously diluting my enjoyment of what is otherwise a great game.

  4. smile.gif I am enjoying the game but a couple things need fixing:

    1. Waypoints - I don't know how this game or any RTS could be released without them.

    2. When I select a group of units and give them a move/assault order I expect them to stay in the specified formation while they are moving to the target location, not just form it when they get there. I dont want faster vehicles racing ahead, infantry lagging behind etc.

  5. I'm having a bit of trouble coordinating my movement. For example, if I move some tanks and infantry the tanks always steam ahead at fall speed while the infantry lags behind, and faster tanks steam ahead of slower tanks and get picked off by the enemy.

Also, my infantry don't always seem to keep a very good line formation.

It's painful trying to keep my units within close proximity, and if I don't then the enemy can pick them off one by one. So is it possible to do coordinated movement?

  6. I'm having a bit of trouble with it. I can get past the initial wave ok usually with a loss of one gun or tank, but the next wave is a different story. They usually beat me with plenty of tanks to spare.

Is there any way to get my infantry to destroy these tanks? I don't think I've ever been able to get my infantry to destroy one in any mission.

I usually use my three artillery attacks on the second wave of tanks but it doesn't seem to help much.

    Cheers

  7. I'm not exactly sure how LOS work for bushes. For example, I placed a gun behind a reasonable sized bush and went into first person view and the icons of several tanks were full red even though there is no way at all the unit could see them.

Does this mean that they can see my unit as well?

  8. It's not just graphical though, because being unable to use two artillery guns or even disembark my highly skilled gunners probably made me lose the mission. Hopefully it won't happen too often because the missions are hard enough as they are! My guns weren't near any sandbags though, in fact one was right out in the open.

I'm really enjoying the game though, just the type of game I was hoping for. I was actually following its progress a while ago, but it was cancelled or something, and then a week or two ago I saw a preview for a game that looked eerily similar to wartime command on IGN and to my surprise it had been resurrected.
